What did you do in the garden today?

First big harvest this morning with the first picking of squash and green beans!View attachment 2717857
Spent about 3 hours in the garden this morning. Finally strung half of the tomatoes trellis and tied up the plants. Replanted 100ft of corn and weeded 50ft of squash. It finally got to hot to be out there though. And I’m out of sunscreen and clean fishing shirts.
I'm jealous. I have flowers on several plants like zucchini, yellow squash, pumpkins, cucumber, peppers and tomatoes. I do have peppers and tomatoes developing as well as some itty bitty cucumbers. It's still a few weeks until I'm harvesting anything. With any luck I get to pick something before the end of the month. I am at least harvesting kale and radishes. I should be harvesting lettuce too but it's stayed small. There's signs that rabbits were mowing the lettuce. That activity has since slowed down, but the lettuce is still recovering it seems.

Afternoon all.
Stayed up WAY too late last night. I couldn't remember if I had given the dog her pain meds already when we went to bed, so instead of overdosing her I skipped it. She didn't sleep, so I didn't sleep.
Then had to get up extra early to go to town to get truck worked on.
Just Monday dragging here.

DH collected my grass windrows yesterday, so now I have grass for around the tomatoes for the season, I just need to put it down, water and feed.

Your mileage may vary, but I cannot stand the tattler lids. I bought them 5 years ago, and keep them just for dry storage. I still have lots of Ball and Kerr lids from pre-19 for at least this season any way.

The USA ones mentioned above in the $75 sleeve, people were reporting they buckled and didn't seal. No idea. So many people are just starting canning and are tightening the bands WAY too tightly.

I just looked at these. The description says "Ball" but the brand noted is PINUO.

They put Ball or Kerr in the title tag so it comes up on a search on amazon. Everything listed here today is generic items made in China that will fit all ball, kerr, mason jars, but are not made by Ball or Kerr in the USA.
