What did you do in the garden today?

Hey morning Gardeners have the walking onions planted in two pots. He gave me three sets said to split them.

Having no luck sourcing hard neck garlic at the grocery stores. I have a few heads I can divide and plant, but want a lot more.

I dug and divided my dahlias this past weekend - the longest season we have ever had here. We had a light frost last Friday night and are due for a killing frost later this week. Ended up getting over 80 viable tubers from only 11 plants

Looking forward to putting the rest of the garden to sleep this weekend (aside from the greenhouse and fall greens section).

Caught one gopher.. that's 13 for the year. I am better at setting the traps now but I have more gophers every year than the previous so I'm not making a dent in the population. There are a couple coyotes around too, wish they'd eat more of em.

Cleaned the quail pens. All my radish seeds came up in a clump so I separated and replanted.

Gophers seemed to move out as the rats moved in here have over 20 to my kill numbers

I had fewer rats this year, maybe they are inversely proportional to gophers. At least the rats don't destroy whole trees

Have not had Gophes go under trees either thank heavens

Thats a LOT of gophers! I have one living under my shed, it doesn't bother with much. Well now that I think of it maybe it's a groundhog? I guess I don't know the difference! He comes out & grazes on the clover.

@Offshoreorca your organization on your bulbs is amazing! I would like to be more organized this year so I don't plant all the purple ones together.

I have a groundhog with an entry to his burrow under the chicken coop. He doesn’t bother me and he is terrified of the chickens. I leave him alone since he was here when I bought this place. Just like all the other gardening related stuff the previous owner left, he came with the house.

Lots of leaves fell today . Frost I guess did it . Now the leaf gathering can begin .
