What did you do in the garden today?

Watching for 4 more thornless for here. I usually get them at HomeDepot and they do well.
Today will be last day of decent weather, 45ish, before the temperature drops again for 4 days, with highs not above freezing.
Taking advantage of it by opening large shop door and doing a quick pick up and sort for next stage of hoop build.
Managed cleaning the dryer vent and vacuuming this morning.
I decided to saw off the bottom of an old 5 gallon bucket and use it as a fill for the zillions of empty feed bags we have here to get county free compost. Next decent day, I think.

Temps got up to 54F a little while ago. I sat in the chicken yard for about 40 minutes while the girls scratched around. Just that little bit of time outside of their run calms them down. I was out earlier with my dog and picked up the larger branches and twigs that came down in that windstorm we had. I found a pretty good deal on the split rail fence I’ve been looking for at Lowes. I’ve had problems in the past with orders with them. Fingers crossed they come through with this order. Rain is forecasted for overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. I’m hoping this softens up the ground a little so I can pound those T posts for the chicken yard expansion.

@WthrLady and @igorsMistress, both of your pictures are awesome I love the organization!

@pennyJo1960, I found ice balls in small piles around the garden this morning surprised it didn't snow, pretty cold at night for here.

Dinner party is tonight, wish me luck, it's the first time we've had a gathering since the plague started. Spinach manicotti with meatballs, coleslaw, and panettone with custard sauce for desert.

Thank you, more like mildly contained wilderness lol. I hope your dinner party went well, it sounds like a great menu!

The high today was 67. 😳❤️
Wednesday and Thursday we have an 80% chance for snow. 😞
I worked outside all day. Cleaning up branches from the tree work last Saturday. I’m chipping up all the branches smaller than 3” and saving all the wood chips to mulch around the veggies this summer.
All of the invasive honeysuckle I’m tossing on the burn pile. I don’t want to take a chance with those. I want those suckers gone for good!! 🤣 Unfortunately, I know they aren’t gone for good. It’s almost impossible to get all the roots and then they just sprout up new from whatever roots you missed. But I know it makes them start over which gives the native species a chance.
