One last time, the sun tried to come out. So I took Freya for a walk. We got to the bottom of the driveway, and it started to sprinkle. She piddled, we turned around and headed home. It was hailing by the time we got back home!

Not chancing it tonight.. just covered everything in the ground 20 squashes and 33 tomatoes and all tomatoes, eggplant, peppers ginger and turmeric in containers too..

It’s cold, in the 30s.

It’s windy

It’s overcast.

It’s spitting rain.

Really sick of cold weather. Enough already. Give me some NICE spring weather, none of this blowing cold rain in 30s weather and light grey to dark grey skies.

Same! This is ridiculous cold for April!

Got the okra seeds in today.
Seeded in the bare spots in the Blue Lake and the Asian long bean rows. Had to go to Wally world for more Blue lake seeds and picked up a couple more tomato plants to fill in the spots where the bell pepper seeds( gleaned from last years baby bell plants) did not sprout. Got plenty baby bells in the flower beds anyway due to them self seeding and coming up now, plus a couple that made it through the winter givin us some vitamin C during the colder months.
Gotta get the corn seeds in sometime soon, It's already hit 90 a few days so far.
Kale and Brussel sprouts goin downhill due to the heat and time( been growin since last fall). Maybe I'll plant something there. Maybe just some alfalfa for a cover. And also in the onion patch when they come out.
Carrots in a pot are ready. Just gotta get some time to do something with them.

Just covered everything in the hoophouse. Going down to 25 degrees tonight. Not chancing it. Was nice and toasty in there this afternoon, but it doesn't hold night heat.
I want to put double bubble on the inside to prevent condensation on the inside.

I covered grapes, strawberries, and blackberries. Only supposed to hover around 32/33 degrees but weather service issued a freeze warning so I figured I should go ahead and do it. Better safe than sorry.
