There were actually several of them that came through. The local news crew were covering all the warnings and flash flooding reports. Normally a tornado warning cone is a red polygon. When the supercells came through they used a white polygon and called it a "tornado emergency." NONE of the people in the local media had ever seen that used before. I haven't either. I don't know if that meant it was an F5 tornado or just a supercell tornado. Surprisingly it left little damage and no injuries which is good.
We are expecting more tonight and they are likely to be worse. The temps are up around 80 degrees and a strong cold front is going to smack right into this warm front. Tonight is the night everyone was worried about from a severe weather perspective.
