What did you do in the garden today?

Beans can still have strings. Many an hour was spent with a bowl in my lap stringing beans for dinner. LOL.
The lack of blazing sun yesterday saved us from the worst of the weather. I still worked from the front porch last night as a circulation center and tornado warning headed right towards my house (again) from only 20 miles away. The words 'dissipate damn you' were uttered often and loudly, but couldn't be heard by anyone over the howling winds.
To our southwest a ways, train cars were taken off the tracks and trees and buildings destroyed, nothing like down in Kansas though.
Today, just howling winds again, and gentle, much needed rain.
Everything should still be ok with yesterday's watering, so no gardening today, just battle with arthritis and a dress pattern.

The simple sugars feed the microorganisms in the compost/soil.. creates a beneficial fungus/mycorrhiza which makes roots receptive to uptake all nutrients at a given time.. no nutrient lock out.. it’s the most important part of composting, creating a symbiotic relationship between microorganisms/feed/soil/roots/foliage... in that order.. Hadn’t thought to add bunny poop. What’s the purpose of the molasses? A recipe would be

Using synthetic fertilizer does the opposite just feeds the roots and plants.. absolutely nothing beneficial for the whole living thriving healthy (already) organic soil... feed it too

Good afternoon all. Finally warming up. The winds have lightened up as well. I took the plastic off the bed with the carrots and kale. No sign of the carrots yet but the seeds haven’t been in the dirt long. I’m super happy with the onions I planted. They are growing quite well. I got the potatoes planted. Two 16 foot rows, one red pontiac and and one white superior. I plan on putting a row of carrots between them. Caught a night visitor on the garden camera early this morning. A local raccoon checking things out. Looking forward to celebrating the grilling season tomorrow and relaxing a bit before the coming week of Spring yard cleaning. I’ll be mowing the grass soon. Wah! Tulips are blooming now and the Fritillarias will be blooming soon. Have a great day all.

Been battling mold and mildew in our Master bath since we moved here 9 years ago. I replaced the exterior vents, checked the hose line, checked that the fan was running and moving air.
Today, I noticed that we need to battle the mold again. sigh.
Decided to crawl into the aged fan to see about the drag and maybe it was dying.
NOPE. Contractors installed a 50CFM fan in a 180 sq ft bathroom. Poor thing never had a chance!
