What did you do in the garden today?

I started to work the ground in the garden after lunch, but only got one bed done before my husband decided he needed me to do other things.
So, we ear tagged and vaccinated year-old heifers. Wrangled the head strong girls into the trailer, took them to pasture and then got stuck.
My son came to get my husband, then he brought the tractor back while I waited. Then we got the truck and trailer unstuck and drove home.
Our truck is a 2020 Chevy 2500 pickup and it's like a freaking monster truck. I can and do drive it, very rarely but I've never pulled the trailer before.
I'm pretty happy at myself for getting it all home unharmed. My husband said, "how was it?" I said "terrifying", he just laughed.
Then I had to do all my bird chores and come in to make supper. Hopefully I can get more gardening done tomorrow.

Got an email that half my tomato starts have shipped. Again, a little early on the shipments! I thought I was done carrying starts in & out, guess not. :rant

I have broth going in the pressure cooker, trying to get rid of so many bones in the freezer. I've been drinking a cup for lunch everyday. Some people swear by it, & my joints could use all the help they can get, but I have a feeling it's just another one of those fad things.

Patrick & I are taking it easy today, we'll take a walk thru the garden, check on the girls & probably call it a day.

My kitchen cabinets are being delivered today. :yesss:
Well, at least it cant hurt you. So thats good.

Picked the cucumbers

I so dearly wish this rain could be rescheduled for late summer! I cant do anything since I now have two jobs. Im trying to get rid of debt more quickly/at all. I havent even purchased any potatoes or planted much of anything except cold weather stuff and bought flowers. I desperately need to build my other veg bed and redo the barrels where i somehow forgot to put in drainage last year :rolleyes: I have no idea how Im going to get much done with no help. Oh well. Theres always next year?:hit
On a better note, the bunnies are growing like weeds 🥰. I will be putting them up for sale next weekend after they get tattooed. I list them before they're weaned so people have to wait and are less likely to be impulse buyers.

I got the inside of the coop fixed so the big girls aren't pooping on the little girls or the water dishes. The divider is half done so I'll get it finished tomorrow and get this batch of littles out of my bathroom! :wee:celebrate:ya Of course I have to scrub the whole thing down but it'll be so nice to have my shower back. Spring cleaning time anyway. The next batch is about a week out and these will go into DP's shower stall, the dust will stay down much better in there.

Love your CAN DO attitude! 😊 I have a Dodge RAM 2500. I bought it to pull our 3 horse slant trailer. DH doesn't like going to horse shows because he thinks it's boring so I had to learn to hook up the trailer, pull it, and back up with it.

I spent the afternoon measuring and marking where the trees will go. I have two banana plants that are going to have to go in the shade garden until next year. I don’t have any good spots picked out and need to see how everything else casts shadows first. Still no idea where the mulberries will go either, I may keep those in pots.
