Has anyone here watched Kent Rollins on YouTube? That guy is a hoot! I’m going to try his refried beans recipe later this week with some Spanish rice and a salad for dinner. Testing out meatless meals on the fam.

Today, I planted some raspberries, sweet mint and watermelon coleus. I bought them at a local tractor supply. Other than that I made sure everyone had a good drink. I have so tomatoes I’m waiting on to ripen.

You have tomatoes already? I'm jealous... I have flowers but no fruit yet.

Began the arduous task of rescuing the flower bed (such as it is) from the lawn. It's like digging concrete. We got about a square foot done before DS announced he was done and walked away.

Gave everything a good watering because it's been crazy hot here the past few days. I planted in mid may because that's when the worry of frost is gone, but then we went straight to mid summer! I'm concerned that my lettuce and spinach won't even have a chance to grow

ETA: I'm sure it's not worth the money, but I thought it was pretty. For a solar panel, lol.

Very cool... My DH would be laughing at me if I suggested it. I don't think this is an option for our installer so I'll have to go the traditional route...

Anyone ever successfully rehabilitated their cukes from blight? I just sprayed mine with Mancozeb but I've read mixed reviews on whether they can be saved once blight appears....

He is very entertaining. Though I dont know if I can bring myself to add mayo to refried beans.

I'm going to have to move my bleeding hearts planted at the office. Turns out the brick stairs they border has started bowing. Will be having them repaired at some point this year before a full failure occurs.
Any precautions I need to take when moving bleeding hearts?

I’m going to give it a try at least once. We use mayo instead of butter to make grilled cheese. I didn’t have any real butter so I gave it a try and it works so much better.

This is actually caused a bit of contention between DH and me. He wants the panels on the roof but they think our trees surrounding the house will limit the efficiency. The installer proposed a ground mount system instead but my DH is being difficult about it because he thinks it will be in the way. Plus it's an extra $13/ft for installation over 150 ft from the house.

We aren't touching solar. This is BIG hail country. Our hail has to have separate insurance policies and deductables. We're leaning towards a turbine, but first, new doors, new garage doors, and a hand pump well. $$$$$$$$

I bought shade cloth for the run but wonder what to do about the rain sincevthe rabbits are in the run. It seems they always manage to get wet but the share cloth had to replace the ugly and also worn out tarps. Suggestions? (Besides a bunny barn, working on that)
