Thanks everyone for giving me peach (ha! Get it?!) of mind about my peaches! It definitely gives me confidence to keep them out of the fridge.

If I can convince myself to do the dishes, next up is making and canning some peach jelly before the skins and pits go bad.

I am already starting to think about planning next year's garden, and am starting to really plan out a chicken coop and run. Then, I can really start thinking about chickens! I've been on this website for over 2 years, and still don't have chickens!

Ditto...DH just said he ate the leftovers from our sons birthday dinner we did last night...and we ain't going out.
Man all I've had was a caprese salad today! It was good but I'm starving.
I also need to get busy on those 13 lbs tomatoes since i had DH go buy a few lbs to go with what we had so I could can pasta sauce.
I'd rather sit n relax though lol

I went peach picking with friends today. Crane's orchard in Fennville, for the Michiganders here. We went early to avoid as much of the heat as possible. When we got home, I was totally wiped out and took a nap.

I have basil drying in the dehydrator now. I gotta get that done so that I can do the peaches in a few days. They need to ripen just a little more.

I took our friends some tomatoes from our garden. The deer are getting theirs.

Supposed to get rain tomorrow. I really hope so, as we need it.

I can't believe today's harvest! I picked some big zucchinis and a long cucumber, plus LOTS of tomatoes! I'll post a picture once it uploads.
