What did you do in the garden today?

As you go through life, you don't clean and get rid of crap, you just re arrange it and make it so you can store it for longer terms. WHEN you become very good at it, you will have succeeded in keeping ALL of your crap and making your kids clean it up when you die. Get back at them for all those years you had to clean up after them
:lau

Except I don't have kids to get back at. :lau But I like the thought....

More piles of leaves raked and sitting, waiting for spring. The snow will compact them, and I'll be able to take them off in sheets with a pitchfork.

Thank goodness all the high winds were from the south yesterday/last night. If they'd been from the west, all the leaves would have been all over the yard again. My elbows are tired of raking. I hope we're done for the season.

Leaves here were done & 20 minutes later the ground is covered. Another week or 2 & we should be done.

I got a buff chicken/cauliflower casserole & a shepherds pie in the freezer. A cranberry orange bundt cake in the oven. Can't wait for 4:30 so I have an excuse to sit down (football)!

I need to harvest the thyme & sage still today. It's 73 degrees. 🤔 Still waiting on a frost to pull the dahlias.

Cranberry orange Bundt cake? That sounds super yum! Would you mind sharing the recipe?

Larger town......ya, about that, you'd think so, but no.
We have. We know WHAT bearing we need, but no one carries the heavier load and rpm.
They say they can order it for quadruple the price and take weeks to do so.
The old bearing are totally blown, so we had to work on finding one the fit as the shaft and axle wouldn't allow for calipers. OH and it's 20 feet up AND me on the ladder, there's only so many free hands. LOL.
But thanks for the thought.
I need to find the clean spare of the one we just blew and double check both the ID and OD.
I'm just so tired of this project.
If you keep blowing the bearing out something is wrong.
Is it a roller and you need a thrust? is it cocked and hence loading wrong, when you press it in, are you hitting the inner ring or rumpling the seal? Was the old one an open face and the new one sealed (can cause BIG problems no matter what the moron selling you the sealed and saying, 'it will work fine' says. are you heating it to press it on the shaft, if so what temp, and if so how, if you are using a mag heater that can kill you real fast.

just saying
