What did you do in the garden today?

Luckily there are no crop farms around me... However there is a medical building next door. It's possible they (or anyone in a subdivision within a mile) could use it on occasion. I have signs up facing the road and the medical building. Just in case the city comes through to spray the weeds along the street.

That's a really good idea. I need to get one of those and put it up next to the no trespassing signs I'm about to put on all sides of my property. lol

I spayed clear coat on the rock garden labels the kids made. That's all the gardening today. I have a headache now - that's what I got for not putting the gas mask on.

My Egyptian Walking onions are looking good. Not sure if my red and yellow onions made it through that stupid polar vortex. They were buried and insulated well but I see no signs of life... If nothing pops out of the ground in the next 30 days, I'll have to replant new starts.

Same with my potatoes...
Have faith in your onions. I find missed onions in our bed from last year that were growing after being out there all winter.

Anybody add cinnamon to their starter soil?
Apparently it's antifungal properties can help prevent fungus problems that kill seedlings early on - like the fungus issue I dealt with last year that took it all my tomato starts.
Maybe REAL cinnamon bark does, but the stuff I bought wasn't REAL cinnamon. But I'm not spending that $$$$ on dirt. My fungus problem one year was from keeping the covers on the starter cells too much. Now I air them every day or so.

Uh oh! Trouble?
We have people trying to avoid potholes by swerving onto our property. I'm sure they will realize it's not just vacant land once we put up a T-post fence/barrier, and a sign or 20.
