What did you do in the garden today?

Those look wonderful! If I were a plant, I'd want to grow there!
Thank you!

Here's the bed I started last year. It's been sown with snow peas, carrots, beets, turnips, and rutabagas. The Swiss chard didn't germinate well, so I am going to replant.

If you are in Tenn, N Alabama, Mississippi, Parts of west texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Wisconson,Kentucky, Ill, Indiana or Ohio, I AM BEGGING YOU to turn on your weather alert apps and radio before you go to bed. These storms are forming fast and moving fast, and darkness is about to make it even harder.
PSA done. Back to work.
Best to all.

741pm GREATER CHICAGO AREA people, or if you know people there, sirens may be sounded for the destructive line of storms about to come through for winds to 90mph -are dangerous. Prepare now! Call friends and family.
Where's @BReeder! in Ill, I can't remember.
Thank you. My daughter and her family are in Chicago, near O'Hare. She said they're fine

Amen! These storms are going to continue their destructive path all the way to the east coast.

The tornado narrowly missed my daughter's house. Wiped out almost everything around it. I worked in Little Rock for nearly 15 years. I have many friends, former colleagues, former customers who have been affected. I also worked in Emergency Management up until 2019 so, of course, my heart goes out to all the first responders who are going to be working LONG hours for weeks on end. The last time a major tornado like this came through, I worked 22 hours per day, every day, for 7 weeks. It's brutal. And that tornado wiped out 2 towns (Mayflower, Vilonia) which are FAR less populated than Little Rock and North Little Rock.

These tornados hit many other towns within Arkansas which aren't getting the spotlight - Hot Springs, Cammack Village, Wynne. Possibly Fairfield Bay. Many others likely.....

Abby, my dog, is on Zyrtec too but she’s still itchy, normal in Spring and Fall so we struggle together lol. The shot is called Cytopoint and it works well for her. She doesn’t even need Zyrtec when she gets it. She gets a booster once or twice each season and it isn’t cheap, but it keeps her from scratching which the Zyrtec doesn’t do when they’re really bad. Bathing Patrick once a week and/or wiping him down after being outside may help him too, especially if he gets itchy.
I had no idea dogs can use zyrtec! How? My vet never mentioned a thing. Apoquel, yes, but not really anything otc.

Yes! I am SO glad i checked the weather before leaving for a visit to my uncle in southern OH. i hope everybody is okay. We cant call him because somehow none of us can find his phone number.
he has no internet or cell of any kind. Even if he did want it, they would never be able to get it to work where he is.

All of the tomatoes and the cucumber have recovered after transplant and are putting on lots of new growth.
Looking good, keep us posted. I have my cucumber kratky buckets strung together with a 3/8 inch tubing and set a float valve to keep the solution level at 6 inches, so far I ate two long cucumbers, they just getting started. I am using the lean and drop method and one of my plant's stem tore, but I wrapped it with grafting plastic and its still producing cucumbers and still growing up the string. I have only 3 plants and they started drinking a lot of solution. I think I will be refilling a 5 gallon bucket to the top with solution weekly. They started drinking more when they started to fruit.
