What did you do in the garden today?

I took my beautiful plants out I started on Saturday, and my husband and I got them planted. Then Sunday the freaking wind come up 60 mph for hours and knocked around all of our covers, damaging some of the plants pretty severely, even though we had them staked down. :rant:mad::rant
So mad.
Now the wind is going to blow like hell the next 2 days. :barnie
I had to get them out because I'm trying to get everything ready for my son's High School Graduation Party.

I took today off in advance of my son transferring bases and moving closer to home. We drove 4+ hours one way yesterday to help him. Met him at the local U-Haul only to be told that the moving truck he had rented never showed up from wherever it was coming from... No other moving trucks within a 2 hr radius. I was furious... Mad that they knew that morning that the truck was MIA and never called him to let him know. I was also mad that they had another 26 ft moving truck there...but that was for "local only." 🤬 They didn't give 2 (bleep) about the problems caused by us not getting the truck that was reserved OR the wasted gas, mileage, etc. So we drove all the way back home empty-handed. Going to try again next Saturday which is going to suck because DD has her high school graduation on Sunday and that weekend was supposed to be about her...

And, I ended up SICK so now I'm sitting in a recliner on my day off feeling crummy and unable to do any gardening or all the other things I wanted to do today.

I don’t have any good news either. Went to store last night but by the time we got home I felt pretty crappy and unsteady on my feet; I kept feeling like I was going to face plant during my shower. Got up and tried to work, nope. Back and forth on computer screens does not work. Too much head movement and it took less than two hours to do me in. Waiting on the doc now, but I have Friday off hoping to get some work done outside. Probably not going to happen. So much for gardening this summer :barnie

So much lack of professionalism. I see it all over.

That’s how the military works though? At least in my country… my brother was in intelligence, and they told he’ll be transferred to navy intelligence, it took about three years until they moved him and he stayed in the same base.
Younger brother was kicked out of the military police, and still receive orders from them…

My seedlings look ok, I will move them to actual pots next week I think.
My Solanum torvum seem fine, I have to wait more though before grafting peppers onto them.
watermelon hasn’t sprouted outside yet, but I’m not worried.
It’s also time for Thai beans. I will plant a whole greenhouse of them, and sell them to vegetable shops nearby. That requires a fence bow trellis, I need to contact a welder.

I still have around 10 mineral tubs to fill with soil and plant. I also need to finish putting in the irrigation system. I have Dahlia bulbs to plant and I'm not sure where to put them... But as far as the garden proper, the only thing left to actually plant are the peanuts and dill seed. Everything else is already in the ground.

Yeah, I wish I wasn't sick today. I have so much to do and I'm already behind...
