What did you do in the garden today?

If you’re curious then borrow one to play with or look in thrift shops.

Yeah, I have been looking for a used one at the Thrift Store, but so far nothing has been on the shelf. I am not inclined to pay full price for something that I have not needed for my 60+ years. Not sure how much we would use it. Probably not much if the sealer bags are expensive.

I am just looking into vacuum sealers, but I too have been thinking that the costs are high compared to other storage methods.
I have the food saver, which vacuum seals food. I also use it a LOT to reseal my canning jars I put dry food in. I had mine for about 12 years now.

There is an active sale going on, but you can likely get a better deal during Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales, online without even leaving your house.

The petrie dish lab grown "meat"? Or the plant-based non-meat?

Neither are good but plant-based is less dangerous to the health of the people who eat it.
There isn't any plant based non-meat meat. BOTH are actually petrie dish crap. People spin so much in the news and in advertisements. Most of what we get is 90% propaganda.

There's only 2 ways to make programmable cells. You need programmable cells to make artificial meat. They tell you its plant based. But the truth is you need programmable cells. To get programmable cells you can only get it from 2 ways. The first way would be fetuses. The second way is cancer cells.

...

But another side to this entirely is the idea of 'evil and designing men' are in charge of this. If God was in charge of it and did it, nobody would question anything. Why? Because of pure motive. Half the reason people get bent out of shape on any issue being debated in society is because they know people that aren't inspired and not with good intentions are in charge of something, and that those people need to be 'looked after' to keep them honest.

I used it to freeze the leftover brisket I smoked recently. There is definitely a difference in the quality of the freezer bags. My thoughts are if you spend a little money on good cuts of meat why risk freezer burn. It really does impact the quality of the protein. Another use for the foodsaver is reheating cook foods in boiling water while the food is still in the bag. Better than overcooking it while reheating it. Just MHO.
