I did a search of lupine. I found Lupinus perennis is native in MN. I ordered seed to plant at my MN cabin. Might as well have a native wildflower.

I started emptying the plant base after watering them.take that pot out of water. it is too much water that kills it. water it lightly every 2-3 days. I used to kill my plants by overwatering them till a friend of mine told me not to.
I would not try to plant them out until the weather is warm enough and stable and therefor you don't need to start the seeds until 6 to 8 weeks before the safe weather date. When I try and plant out tomatoes in real cool weather with frost protection, early , they survived fine and produced early fruit, but never are real productive as plants planted later in the spring. If you only care about some early fruit it will work for you, I sometimes do one or two plants that way.I have 3 greenhouses and one of the bedrooms would work for a place to put them but I was thinking more about being able to get the plants in the ground before April 15th. Of course PG&E has been sending their prices through the roof so until I can get off grid I'm not looking into lining their pockets. Lol
Very interesting! I might stagger my planting out next spring, to see if there is a difference in production. When I try and plant out tomatoes in real cool weather with frost protection, early , they survived fine and produced early fruit, but never are real productive as plants planted later in the spring.
