What did you do in the garden today?

I sprayed all fruit trees today. We have some peach trees with peach leaf curl. The treatment is copper spray in fall and/or spring. Before any growth occurs . It says to add horticultural oil to the copper mix to help it to be more effective. All trees sprayed with the mix though. My sprayer is now colored blue inside. I rinsed, and added some mild dish soap, swished and rinsed, but still blue.

Tomorrow will be quite nice too!

So, I could order some call ducks to raise in their own pen. Should I do this?? Hmmm. Never raised ducks. My spouse is more interested in duck eggs, and wondered if call ducks lay many eggs, or if we should raise a different breed of duck so we can get regular duck eggs.

Go with a egg breed like Khaki Campbell. Call ducks lay more like a wild mallard.

I can't get rid of the ants in this house. They are eating the terro bait like it's a buffet, but they just keep coming. It's been weeks, almost a month. I don't even know what to do about it anymore. :barnie
I have the same problem with ants. My pest service has been out twice in the past month. I have also put out Terro traps and my own homemade traps using Borax. Has hardly phased them at all....

After my oldest daughter and her husband and kids moved out I found ants in the room they were in. I went and got a box of grits and spread them out on the floor where the ants were and the next morning I just went in the room and swept up the grits. I haven't seen ants in my house since.

Well I'm the only one in my house right now that doesn't have the flu so I decided to spend the evening outside. Added some compost to a couple of raised beds.

Also chased and caught one of my ducks who was limping. Looks like her middle toe is swollen up pretty bad. I didn't see any dark plug underneath that might indicate bumblefoot or any other wounds. Gave her some Metronidazole to help with possible infection.

Got a Brecks catalog today with some really pretty splash gladiolus. Haven't bought any but I'm eyeballing.... 😂

Must resist....

Today I created garden diagrams for the last three years. Whenever I have planted seed or transplanted seedlings I'd take a photo, which made it easier to reconstruct.

I think I can plant snow peas now...not tomorrow, but possibly this weekend?
