What did you do in the garden today?

That's not her best picture. One thing I forgot to mention was that instead of the white on her nose like your dog has, Molly has a white chin. It's faintly visible in the picture. She also looks like the tip of her tail was dipped in white paint...just the very tip. That's not noticeable in this picture. She's a small dog...only 21 lbs. She amazes me at how high she can jump--eye level!

Saw an article today that winter weather is supposed to return next week. It's been in the 50s and 60s for the past week. My trees are all budding out and my hyacinths and tulips are peeking out of the ground.

:idunno
Not here, thank goodness, 50's is the lowest high for us until the 21st (so far)

My fodder experiment was a bust. It molded just as the seeds were sprouting. Next time, I'm going sterilize the soaking water with some horticultural lime - it works for growing mushrooms without mold, so it should work for fodder (fingers crossed 🤞).

In other news, we are expecting a high of 50 tomorrow! So I took the day off work and I'm planning to pull down all the wild grapevines that are getting out of hand. I also have to clean the coop.

@CedarLane she reminds me of the first black Chihuahua my husband had. He said he got her for me but the problem with that is it proves how much he doesn't know about me. I don't like Chihuahua's or female dogs. I'm seriously not crazy about them. I have a female pitbull and wish someone would take her.

Thank you, I'm going to try that. Now to keep the dog from eating the grits...

Does it matter what kind? I've never had grits in my life, lol. @akroberts1085 View attachment 3742724

my mother has always used baking powder or baking soda soda for ants. works the same way as grits. they drink and swell.

I sprayed all fruit trees today. We have some peach trees with peach leaf curl. The treatment is copper spray in fall and/or spring. Before any growth occurs . It says to add horticultural oil to the copper mix to help it to be more effective. All trees sprayed with the mix though. My sprayer is now colored blue inside. I rinsed, and added some mild dish soap, swished and rinsed, but still blue.

Tomorrow will be quite nice too!

So, I could order some call ducks to raise in their own pen. Should I do this?? Hmmm. Never raised ducks. My spouse is more interested in duck eggs, and wondered if call ducks lay many eggs, or if we should raise a different breed of duck so we can get regular duck eggs.

I'd suggest khaki campbells too. 2 ducks would be plenty for you as you want to raise them in a pen. leave a dirt floor and make a small run as well. when I had ducks on concrete floor I could not keep up with cleaning. smell was horrible in my hot climate. I have been keeping them on dirt for years and will never change my mind about that.
