What did you do in the garden today?

I think they're born smelly, fatty, and mean.

Another chilly, in the mid 50s day. Winds howling and extreme fire day, so no outdoor work for fear of setting the whole county alight. I need to rake stone from the lawn back to the driveway, but THAT"S not happening. I've seen the rake throw sparks with the bits of flint in the gravel.

So weaving and/or shopping it is.

Rain made it in. It sounds like a little waterfall. I lost one of my small greenhouses due to wind. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the weather man says it is going to be.

It's sunny and still cold! It looks a lot warmer than it is. I raked up some thatch, and that kept me warm. Sitting in the run with the chickens, though, I got cold and had to come inside.

I don't want to knock the cold, not at all. I told the fruit trees and the blueberry bushes to stay asleep. We're getting a week of 50s and 60s during the days, with barely into the 30s at night. Some nights might be 40s and up to 50. Scary.

Very windy last night and all day today. I did some quick errands after my blood work then came home to get out of the wind. Two of the polycarbonate panels on the chicken run blew off. I’ll wait until tomorrow to re hang them. I put duct tape on the others and that’s been keeping them attached enough to block the wind. Trying to decide what to start indoors next. The last 2 pots of the onions are emerging from the dirt. The other onion seeds I have only take 80 days to harvest so I’ll direct sow them. I’m so looking forward to getting some substantial work done out doors.
