What did you do in the garden today?

I bought jewel berries. I initially thought I wanted everbearing strawberries, but since I plan to freezedry much of them, June bearing will work. The shipping is pretty crazy! But, I'm excited. Thanks, Sueby!
What kind did you order?
Excellent! I ended up with Seascapes. I'm still trying to decide how to handle the GS over the winter, I'm thinking about taking it apart & covering it with leaves. I've seen people pack the pockets with straw & cover with burlap too.
Will set that up tomorrow after tonight's rain 👍 thank you!
Please let us know how it works!

Another nice day here. I'm refreshing some of the pockets in the greenstalk, it's slow going with my restrictions tho. Some of my seeds have sprouted. I had to order more name tags today, I'm going to lose track moving stuff from heat to light, I know it. I always think I'll remember what I did & I never do. :old

In my garden today I cut a wad of these, to enjoy in case the expected storm flattens them:

Yep... We had massive storms last night. Got over 3 inches of rain. When I went down to the garden to check for damage, I noticed my hyacinths and tulips were flattened. 😔

G’morning all. We had some rain last night and again this morning with thunderstorms possible this afternoon. All I’ve done is give the broody and her babies some food and cleaned out their waterer. I’ll tell you, having a bum foot is really boring! I can deal with the chicks and some watering but that’s about the extent of it and then my heel is screaming :tongue Today I’m watching Jurassic World movies until hubs get home, then maybe some grocery shopping later. Have a great day!

Sorry about your flowers. Maybe they'll recover? We have a tree down. Pic later, maybe. My arthritis (or fibro?) is glaring badly.

I rescued a little venus fly trap from the garden store this am. Has anyone ever cared for one before? I could use some tips. LOL
I also picked up some spinach seeds.

@Acre4Me (or anyone else with ideas!) any ideas how many sf meat birds need, or what they say the average is? They'd be outside, part under cover, part open.

Bad pic, lol. The tree that's down is across the driveway, and the trunk is out of sight behind the mulberry tree. I just don't feel like going outside to get a better shot.

What do you mean by sf? I just harvested 9 CornishX at about 5 weeks, over 4# each - and delicious!
