What did you do in the garden today?

I am going to do a beer batter fry with my White Nile Tilapias this way when I get around to it. They keep multiplying, and some of them are very large like 5lbs or more.
Oh tell me you fish for them when you want to eat one! A 5lb fish is a fun catch.

Garlic and Onions...
Wow! Nice garden!
My sweetheart & the mower & yard cart. I tell ya, that yard cart is a blessing, when it's too muddy for a heavy pickup truck.
We got one of those too and they are so handy. We use it mostly to move rabbit litter around.
Hey, the tomato seeds are sprouting!
Very nice tour, thank you!
Thanks so much for the tour!
The only blue I've got blooming right now is this cute little weed.
I can never remember the name for this and yeah it was considered a weed when I was a kid but I love the stuff. I always encourage it to grow in mixed pots, it's just so pretty and teeny.

Critter care and Penny walking is done for the day, I burned a bunch of the dryish weed grass and last years evening primrose stalks that we pulled out of the beds. I mixed up a quart of the Original Taco House salad dressing to go with the giant salad DP made yesterday that we took to a gathering last night. I'm drooling thinking about it but we have to wait for about 30 minutes before we can eat (intermittent fasting).

After lunch we'll go out for yard and garden work and planting more of the assorted veg and flower trays. The 1 experimental tomato plant is looking good so far but they're predicting night temps in the upper 30s next week so I'll see if wrapping it in plastic saves it.

I did a Google image search, and I believe my flower is a
Blue Anemone coronaria.

I asked at the feed store if the molasses they had was "people grade," and he said no.

There was a brand of blackstrap molasses I used to get that was so tasty in coffee. Can't find it anywhere now. It was $5? a 16 oz jar. I looked online and it was nowhere to be found. Except on etsy for $40 a jar. Uh. No.
I don't remember how much I paid for mine but I got it at Walmart, I think

Gardening season is officially on for me I just planted my small round bed with peas. I’ll keep plugging away at the gardens prep and plant. I will need to take a little time to prepare for the Nor’easter that’s coming. The winds never really stopped. They just slow down for a while then pick back up. Fingers crossed the impending storm won’t be all that bad.

I up potted the celery & thyme. Painted some rocks red to fake the birds out with the strawberries - not sure if it works or not but it's worth a shot I guess. Moved all the lettuce from the aerogarden to a GS.

DH spring cleaned the coop for me yesterday! That was a nice surprise. Of course he locked the poor chickens out of the coop by accident last night in the process. :gig Boy were they mad this am.

What kind was it?

7 varieties of tomato seeds are now in starter as are
10 types of flowers

I don't bother with spring veg in the garden as we go from far too cold to simmering in a flash. Things just don't go well, usually never hit done and just bolt.

Cool and gloomy here today. low 50s trying to rain, but won't.
I caved and put massive farm irrigation heads in the pasture to hook the hose to. I need to wet this seed and now keep it moist through germination.

Fence is almost done. I just need to install the electric insulators and then run and tension the wires and jump it to the hot fence.

The boys have been rolling in the dusty field. When I does rain, I'm afraid they'll turn into chia pets.
