Wild Asters in there also. They grow everywhere. Not sure which native species. Some are light blue and some are white.

My turkeys ate all the wild aster seeds. Now there are not any left in the poultry yard.

Our wild asters are purple with yellow centers.

Clumps of Asters. I looked up native asters and I may have Short's aster and white wood aster. I will replant these.

I grew these Christmas pole lima beans from Baker's Creek this year and I let the pods dry on the vines. I soaked the dry beans overnight in water and simmered it for 30 minutes. They remind me of Popeye's red bean and rice, all I need to do is add chopped pieces of whole ham to flavor the cooked beans. Regular red beans would need to simmer a few hours to reach the same texture.

I am going to butter up some cooked long grain Jasmine rice and season the rice with Cajun seasoning. Its typically served on top of the red beans and ham.

I'm so annoyed. On Sunday they claimed we were going to get between 3-4" of rain between Monday and Wednesday. Well here we are late Wednesday afternoon and I'd bet my last dollar that we haven't had more than a half inch total.

I think this is a painted lady butterfly. This is what I have been seeing. It says they migrate.
