Does anyone know what ate my canteloupe?!

I went out this morning to take my dog out and he walked toward my canteloupe plant and this was on the ground eaten.

We have always had deer problems around here. ALOT of them. Could they be the culprit? There are no sharp points in the bites as if something with sharp teeth ate it.

Groundhog? They crave canteloupe & in fact that is what many use to bait them in traps.

We had squash, okra, and poblano peppers out of the garden for dinner tonight

What's your favorite okra recipe? Need ideas.

My chickens enjoy grasshoppers, the chase is as much fun as catching & eating.

I gave them a 2nd round of grasshoppers this morning. They are going to start expecting them every morning now...

I've dipped in egg batter, breaded with flour, bread crumbs & parmesean, & fried. It wasn't too bad. Did that with squash blossoms, too. The blossoms were excellent.

My chickens enjoy grasshoppers, the chase is as much fun as catching & eating.

I like watching them chase. I can't usually see the bug they're after, so it just looks like an insane hen, running willy-nilly all over the yard.

It's the giant green June bugs that really crack me up. The hens LOVE them SO much, they'll just chase and chase until they get one.

They are buzzing around low to the ground heavily, Now that the rain has stopped here
