What did you do in the garden today?

Yesterday I took some of the fencing down around the garden so I could wheel barrow the coop bedding into it. Picked a few beans and tomato's, zucchini. Everything is coming to a end here, most pumpkins are orange and I am hoping they can make it to Halloween before there rotten.
Do you have a cool basement you could store them in?

I ended up moving some of my peppers back inside; only about half the peppers on the plants are ripe and I don’t trust the overnight chills not to kill them before they finish. I might even try to overwinter them; I’ve never had any luck on my previous attempts but it’s not going to hurt anything if I fail again.

Sunday morning I weedwhacked around my tomatoes without eyewear on. STUPID. Was in the ER Sunday night with a scratched cornea. I know better than that. My tomatoes are almost done. Great year for them and frankly I'm sick to death of them. Cousins keep dropping off their extra maters good Lord. Juice!!!
Ouch! ::speedy healing::

Question: when they arrive - do I divide the sets or pland them whole

These are the sets when they're young and green (and edible). The ones I'll send out are bigger and the outer skin is brown. Break the individual bulbils off the stem and plant them. I planted them about a foot apart, and 2" deep. They form a clump and fill in.

I'll be sending them out today or tomorrow, probably.

G’morning folks. All this talk about people in restaurants reminds me why I don’t go out to eat. We went to a fancy place for our anniversary one year and our server was obviously sick. We left saying DH forgot his wallet at home and went elsewhere. All I’m doing outside is watering today. We are supposed to be under a heat warning again at the end of the week so that’s all for me. Our record for number of days over 110 will be this year; I need to move somewhere else.

Thank you, Sally!!
