What did you do in the garden today?

This is only a small portion of the green house frame that has my peppers, tomatoes, okra, green beans, cucumbers, sweet potatoes and 2 beet plants. I have to weed it by hand because the plants are just all over the place.

I have oregano near the front door. I had a sage plant there, and it was struggling. Yellowing, stunted; not getting enough light. I dug it up and planted it in the garden, and it took off! I bet it's 6x the size, lush, and green.

You're welcome! Hope he gets it fixed. Just curious, why is the electric one better than just using a pot on the stove?

It frees up the stove, doesn't heat up the kitchen as much, and you don't have to babysit it.

I have an electric pressure canner and also a pressure cooker. Neither heat up the house and it's great to set and forget it until you have to take the cans out.....before you get flat sour

First of the frost warning are in minnesota and the UP.
So Tomorrow I'll cut the tomatoes at the base and let the plants finish the fruits they're working on and let the greenery go.
I'll also take down the shade cloths.
Sigh, not ready.

Anything in the whiting stage will continue to ripen on the vine. I just leave them in the garden, and let them ripen there.

We sometimes hung the vines upsidedown in the basement or garage, cool but not cold.

Here we generally won't get our first frost until November 1st, another six weeks.
