What did you do in the garden today?

I found some dried basil leaves that I forgot about today and I think it has been drying for about 2 months. It was a light tan color, and it held its shape. I minced it and made some tea. The tea came out light tan and I was surprised at how fragrant it tasted.

Whenever my Genovese basil goes into flower, I usually end up with a lot of leaves and young flower buds that I don't know what to do with. I will start using them for tea.

Heart back in AFIB. Online DR visit later this morning. The heart monitor alerted the DR Tuesday. A little short of breath. Back on Eliquis since Tuesday.

I found out that mice really are attracted to the smell of no bake cookies. They contain peanut butter and oats

Good news from the DR. Monitor shows I am in AFIB 1% of the time. No action required. Keep taking Eliquis. I took tracking # to post office. Package is in a container that came from CA. Every time container is scanned It shows package scanned. No physical scan of package. 10 days and who knows when they will catch up and finally empty the container. Likely after Christmas.

Dry as a bone, a few fires popped up here and there.

I bought a mini rechargeable battery chain saw from Walmart a few months ago and I just started using it. I cut down half of my Lichee tree to give my flowering Carrie mango tree more space. I have to wait for rubbish day before I can cut the other half down. I had my Lychee tree for more than 20 years and it only fruited once. It needs cold weather to fruit, so it can't fruit where I live. I used the chain saw to cut the thicker 1 to 3-inch branches into 6-inch pieces and I used a hand clipper to cut the smaller branches into a trash bag. The only thing the Lychee tree is good for is shade and smoking wood. Anyway, the mini chain saw came in handy and I am glad I bought it.
