What did you do in the garden today?

My Lisianthus FINALLY sprouted! I've been trying to grow these flowers for 3 years in a row now! We shall see how many make it to transplant stage...

Finally got my potatoes and onions in the ground. Also saw that some of my cabbage and broccoli seeds sprouted. Probably started them a little late but oh well. At least 3 of my broccoli plants from LAST YEAR are still alive and growing. Since I didn't get a fall crop, I'm curious to see if they will grow any florets.

Tulips and Hyacinth are coming up too... As are both peony plants which I thought had died last year. Pleasantly surprised about that!

Slowly working on clearing out the weeds in the garden. It's over 80 degrees outside today so I had to take a break. Even have a sunburn already! 🙄

Ya, but the second the planning board OKs the building of multi family dwellings behind her, the value of her property plummets.
@TJAnonymous would be better getting top dollar and settling somewhere else.
With the duplexes, comes light, noise, traffic, complaints about farm animals noise/smells, trash, trespassers........etc.

at my old place there was a stinky granny neighbor who washed her bed sheets once in 2-3 months and complained about my chickens. that's one of the reasons I moved to the country.

I planted a 5 foot row of Bull's Blood Beet seeds in the garden and got them watered in. I'll plant more beets in a couple weeks.

And I got the peas planted, pretty much as directed by the incredibly simple packet instructions... Two 3.5 foot long double rows spaced 6 inches apart, with the pairs spaced 2 feet apart, seeds buried 1 inch deep. I planted the seeds 3 or 4 inches apart and won't thin them out.

The glacier is melting! Yesterday I was able to shovel a path to the potting shed, today I shoveled a path to the compost pile. With temps in the 40’s for 3 days in a row, the ice crust is softening up enough to break through. Now is the worry of the damage to my roof when the glacier finally melts. I just want it to be gone so I can start planting. Good news, I saw a solitary Robin yesterday.
