What did you do in the garden today?

I got my garlic bundled up with string and hung under the roof of the back deck to finish curing and drying.

I decided to cook with one of the fresh garlic heads. It was a small one and really strange. There were only two cloves, one normal size and the other one as big around as a quarter. I slivered the smaller clove, put slits in a ribeye steak and shoved the garlic inside the cuts. I'll grill it in a few hours so the garlic has time to infuse the meat with flavor.

I finally had to just spray the mulch ragweed. Hoe-ing it just angered it and send up extra stalks. Weed whacking it also angered it. The roots quickly made it through the mulch layer and into the clay, and then I couldn't even pull it out.

We pulled grass from the firebreak as the pasture mix doesn't kill grass, only weeds.

AND the mulch has dog vomit fungus. I am LIVID with Scotts.

I tied up the tomato plants and besides water the alpacas and chickens, nada. NO wind (But too much to spray the fields), and far too hot and humid.

Still waiting on haying weather.

I Guess my Dad passed 40 years ago he had a postal job.
I will not get politics on here taboo.

Post Office of 40-50 years ago was considerably different than that of say 20 years ago. But you’re right, best to move on some other subject…..like, oh, I don’t know, chickens and maybe gardening.:D

I agree... postal service decades ago was different w/ employees who had values. Today's population of employees don't know how to operate the espresso machine at Starbucks w/o checking their cell phone for instructions :idunno

My garlic drying out back. Any guesses as to what variety it is? It's hardneck, kind of a spicy sharp flavor. My guess is Red Russian.

Can you share the exercises?
I know someone who has it real bad right now. He actually fell and they had to do CT scan make sure no brain bleeds
It's like this video, but instead of laying on a pillow, I hung my head over the bed and did the opposite on the other side of the bed because I didn't know which side was causing the problem, and the side of my bed is against a wall, so I can only sit up on one side.

What's up with the bag in the second video?

Neighbor boy can’t cut their grass without shutting the mower off every few minutes to…..check that phone. My youngest daughter was cutting the grass once and unbeknownest to me she had her cell phone with her. Well, the daughter, lawn mower, phone combo caused her to run over my wellhead and cut through it. So, having lost the suction and subsequent head on the wellhead I had to dig down and repair the standpipe, replace the jet pump, and re-prime the entire system. So, a few hundred later the system was repaired and back into service. BUT, it’s the little things in life that make it all worthwhile. Daughter is still alive by the way……just in case you may have wondered about her.
