Both of my peaches were planted 2 years ago. The Belle of Georgia gave me 2 sweet juicy delicious peaches last year and around a dozen this.

The Bonfire - which is meant to be decorative and not bred for consumable fruit - has been overloaded both years. The peaches are small and not tasty but not disgusting. They ripen super late also. When I do research to choose what to plant, I really should stick to my list and not let the greenhouse salesperson talk me into something else. I'm thinking of collecting the bonfire peaches as they ripen and perhaps make either purée for bellinis or mixing them with other fruit and concocting a vino.

Maybe those peaches would taste good using a spiced peaches recipe.

Do you add caraway to your sauerkraut? It seems to be a 50/50 sort of thing.

I'm in the no caraway seeds 50% group. Just cabbage, salt and water.

All of my eggplants this year have ended up looking like this. I’m not sure why

Also I’m not sure what happened but i just had the hottest jalapeño I have ever ate. I can eat cayennes without an issue but that thing was BAD

Maybe. I've certainly got enough to try it. Unlike the plum and the apples almost every one of those flowers in the above picture became a peach. I had to help the June drop by removing WELL OVER a hundred peachlets while leaving just 3 per branch.
The recipe you linked above calls for canned peaches. I'll have to think about how I want to convert that.

For those of y'all with fruit trees, how do you keep squirrels away? I lost so much tree fruit this year in my young orchard to both and . I figure I'll get some netting and flashy tape for the birds but won't squirrels climb right up under the net? I was thinking maybe something like a baffle you'd use on a pole with a birdhouse. What's worked out not worked for all y'all?
