Surely I'm not the only one who gets an abhorrent aftertaste in my mouth for hours after ingesting anything containing Stevia.

Some things taste okay with stevia, and some don't. I kind of got used to it.

I’m looking at the mid-forties temperature and feeling really glad I got the squash and melons covered and as many of the less cold tolerant potted plants inside as I could think of yesterday.

Had a sprinkle of rain yesterday but not enough. Leaves are starting to fall and change color. Poor showing of color this year due to drought. White pelicans have been migrating. I see them on the river.

I watered. We haven't had any rain in over three weeks.

I should come here and complain about the lack of rain more often. We had a nice little shower yesterday afternoon, not much, about 1/3 of an inch, we really need several inches over the course of a week to do any real good, but every little bit helps!

You're not. I get a chemical aftertaste from Stevia, too. Have you tried Monk Fruit in The Raw? I don't get an aftertaste from that.

We got rain yesterday. A whole 0.01 inches (it was probably less than that).
