What did you do in the garden today?

Today will be taken up with hubby's dental appointment. When we get back, I'll see what I feel like doing outside.

Anyone else dreading the Fall Back time change? It'll be getting dark at 5:30. I really wish we would pick one, either Daylight Saving or Standard, and stop changing the clocks twice a year.
I don't care which one either, just pick one! There has been so much research on the increase of accidents, heart attacks, etc from jacking up the time on people. We have a few states with common sense, Arizona is the only one I can think of right now, that don't do daylight savings. Wish my state would follow suit! Or better yet, the whole country!

I’m with you just pick one and stick with it.

I'm usually up at 5am. When the days are short, I get a little sick of waiting for the sun to come up and the dew to dry in the morning when I am ready to work outside. The clocks falling back will make my mornings more productive outside. My son gets really upset about my use of daylight. He wants me to play video games but I will not go inside until I'm out of light. This will give him more time with me in the house before bedtime.

If I had to choose a time for the whole year it would be standard time.... At least I think that's what we're moving back to on Sunday.... I get them mixed up.

That always confused me too. I finally got it figured out. Fall is fall back and Spring is spring forward. I would prefer the fall back because I don't like having any lights on when I go to bed.

I forgot to tell everyone about the little woodpecker that was out this morning. My husband was getting ready to go to work and that little woodpecker was flying around the windshield of the big truck. He had a little orange patch on top of his head, he was so cute. I wish I would have taken a picture of him.

Earliest sunrise if we stayed standard.

I culled my most aggressive bulky red ISA Brown rooster and kept the tallest Rhode Island Red looking one and one that look like an ISA Brown rooster. However, the tall rooster's hormone kicked in, and he started beating up on his white/brown younger brother. Furthermore, he started chasing my Red Star chicks like he was trying to kill them, so I locked him up. His younger brother chases the chicks, but not as aggressively, he is kind of passive and not proactively seeking them out like his older brother.
