This pisses me off. Because ...My experience with the TIA and the medical staff is disappointing. I feel scammed! Spent 4 hours in the ER ran a bunch of test and came to no conclusion. Referred me to my family doctor for a followup. He said I had a TIA. ER also referred me to a neurologist. Went there yesterday and all she did was ask question and do some basic things like can you see this, can you feel this. Push out pull in. She said there is really no way to prove a TIA. Take a aspirin everyday. So insurance is billed thousands for tests and 2 referrals to prove it was not something else. When from the start they knew they could never say for sure it was a TIA.
I fear this is true, or becoming true.We are, in the end, just a revenue stream for them.
