Good morning gang and Happy Aloha Friday!
Wednesday got the new TV installed and the cabin near perfect. Dude comes today.
Rained pretty good yesterday. Lucky me that it was only just starting up when I did the 3am colony feed, then at a drizzle when doing chicken chores. By the time i finished basic chores all my creatures were hunkered down as the rain started to come down pretty steadily.
Our friend @PopoMyers texted me and had some time to meet and was even willing to come my way on a pretty wet day (3+" of rain). DH and I had a great time visiting with Popo and her awesome DH. Insta friends just incase any of you may wonder what it is like meeting people on this thread. I hope to see @Popo b4 she heads out. She is absolutely awesome♡♡♡!!! We sat on a big Lani with a nice view, eventually a cup of joe, and chatted nonstop as the rain came down. The rest of you were there in spirit ♡♡♡
This early morning it is raining hard again. Near torrential. Think chooks may sleep in this morning. Home is back to kitty soup with a cat on every cushion. Time to make some coffee, i have another 30 minutes till chores.

It probably was a bit short. I was a bit off kilter with the early morning cat thing, the weather, a sick dog, a hospice MIL, the cabin deal, life, me.... I was a little embarrassed she had to come to me and of course, the weather was being so dramatic

Well guys, the time has come. I had to say my last goodbye to Nohope this morning I don’t understand how he could go from starting to stand on his own and walk some with help to dead in two weeks time after 6 months of being sick…but here we are.

So R.I.P. Nohope, I will miss you so very very much. You were such a special boy and I will never forget you. I will miss your beautiful feathers you let me run my fingers through, the hugs you let me give you whenever I wanted them, how you would sit on me like you were a baby even though you weighed 8 lbs, how you yelled at me anytime I left your side, the gentle way you treated all the baby chicks that slept under your wings, and the way you LOVED French fries There will never be another like you. Your pain is gone now and I hope you get as many French fries as your heart desires. Goodbye sweet boy

So, so sorry for your very big and heartfelt loss. You worked hard for a long time to get him whole. This is super heartbreaking especially when he had made so much progress the last few weeks. He has taught you so many things and gave you all he could. You gave him a wonderful chicken life.
