Gooses new collar came today. I didn't realize that he can only wear it 12 hours a day or it can cause pressure sores. I should have researched a little better before I bought.
But, on the good side...I can now wake Goose when he's sleeping without having to walk over and nudge him. Very happy about that. I swear he can hear a little when he's awake, but when he's sleeping he hears nothing. I can stand right next to him and whistle til the cows come home and there's no response until I touch him, then he's all joy after the startle. Vibration works a treat. Also, I looked and there are vibration only collars that hopefully can be worn 24/7. Waking him without having to walk to him is enough by itself...but hoping it keeps him safe during hay delivery as well when we have gates open, and strangers and trucks driving around the property. Would be nice if he can join me and the other dogs then and not have to be leashed or confined to keep him safe.
