I thought the song was a funny touch, but the normal video audio, you can hear him making his feelings known the whole time heheheWhat I sweet boy! I think here only Snookie would be tolerant enough for that! What an adorable moment

That doesn’t look promisingThe last remaining egg from my mail order still hasn't hatched. It looks so odd inside that I'm unwilling to assist further for now. View attachment 3706437
I gave it a safety hole and think I barely did it in time because it was very still and quiet. But now it's starting to move and cheep so still hoping. I'm afraid to do anything more as long as all that veining hasn't absorbed.
Has anyone ever hatched an egg that looks like that at hatch time? It's 21 days and baby did the internal pip. I've never seen a hatching egg look like that.
From their disclaimer I suspect they'll disagree...but wouldn't it be nice! That doesn’t look promisingI’ve not had those eggs ever make it. I’m so bummed for you that you didn’t get a single one :-( They really should send you a new batch—I think you should complain that they sent it over a holiday. The ODs are really sensitive eggs, that much time in transit is just too much!
I would think you could break the keel if you didn't place your hands just right or apply too much pressure.Yeah, heart definitely stopped! It’s amazing how quickly the brain processes so many things in an emergency so quickly. Tux is lucky he’s my chicken in year 3 of ownership and not year 1…so much more just comes naturally now when they’re sick when before I felt totally clueless!
I wouldn’t know where to even start using the Heimlich! Seems it could be dangerous if you didn’t know how to do it properly!
My fingers are crossed for you!! Cmon baby OD!From their disclaimer I suspect they'll disagree...but wouldn't it be nice!
I'm still hoping on baby. I just checked again and the veins have receded but I think I can see an egg sac! It's strange to be able to see so much inside because the chicks really small. It's weak but it is cheeping and moving.

In the below pic, off to the side we're I can see leg movement, is a few veins and a little ball the doesn't move...egg sac? Maybe?View attachment 3706523
You can see in the first picture that I opened the safety hole just a tad more. Thought it might be ready, but had to stop because I can still see faint veins in the membrane. That's when I noticed the veins connecting inside to the stationary spot.
Sitting vigil with little one until it's hatched and safely fluffed or passed. It's after midnight and I'm sipping coffee with fingers crossed. Such a weak little baby, but it's still trying so I will too.
It's actually a dog toy so it does neither but I agree, it looks like it should do the soft shoe shuffleDoes the chicken sing or dance? It kinda looks like it should
Poor Ferdy must think it's going to steal his kibble and start bossing him around![]()
Oh bless her! So pleased to hear she's healing well ❤Little golden chicken came inside this evening for 40 minutes. goal was to address a possible infected wound under her wing. I got the saline tub water and everything ready. When i inspected her before bathing her, I was so pleased to see a healing wound that imo didnt require a saline soak but instead a spritz of the saline and some antibiotic spray. upon further inspection, I found no other open injuries to her. After a little protein filled tidbit for Golden chicken, I proudly placed her back to the hen house for the night. today is one week since she got attacked by a hawk. She still is too scared to go outside of the run. i dont mind. shes safe.![]()
