What did you do with your flock today?

That's weird, IME sour crop breath always smells bad. Check it tomorrow morning and see if it emptied.
I don't know a lot about pendulous crop, so I can't help you there.

Here's a few of them. They might not be what you're looking for.

Thanks @FrankieDoodle ! I will read up on these and make plans for tomorrow! I was googling and it seems like maybe she’s only at the “slow crop” stage and it hasn’t reached sour yet…so maybe more crop massages and some Greek yogurt will help things along. Fingers crossed! Poor girl…she doesn’t seem at all bothered by it tho. Runs around with everyone, roosts with the group. I saw her eating something the other day that didn’t look like food…so I’m wondering if it’s created a blockage 😖 I don’t need more chicken vet bills! 😩

So I think one of my chickens seems to have sour crop I think. All the sudden her crop is huge and has been that way all day and feels squishy but like a water balloon?? What’s the best first thing to do? Olive oil? I massaged it some today…but I’m not sure how to do it without potentially drowning her or something 🥴😩

On a positive note, I got my daughter all decked out so she knows how to put things on for tomorrow’s day at school! :-D She wanted to look like her favorite chicken Aria Jr. We went for yellow legs so others would know what she is, even though Aria Jr. legs are pink and gray :)
Cute! picture!

You can try a pro biotic for sour crop. Sometimes there is an obstruction-- look for an article on how to treat that if the pro biotic does not work.

I was reading last night that probiotics are good...I will see about getting her some of that! Thanks! I also read that molasses can help some in moving things thru so I added a bit to their snacks this morning. I also massaged it a bit...she is still very active and acts like nothing is wrong, so hopefully I am able to solve it without needing to see a vet. Thanks all!

I got two more chicken figurines, which is why I didn’t post the others sooner.
There’s a lot of pictures, so I’ll put them all in a spoiler.
I’m starting with the birds I don’t have anymore.
Prince.

Both of them together. Fun fact, these two were my very first birds when I first started raising chickens.

Ruffles. She was another one of my first chickens, but I got her a couple months after I hatched the two roos.

Love the costume your daughter is the best dressed kid wish she could come by here

Happy Halloween a day late! Having young kids makes for a very busy day, no time for BYC :)

I did include a chicken pumpkin though :-D I was pretty proud of it, as I had to make it freehand. And the chickens got to enjoy the guts! Aria’s chicken costume was very popular with most everyone she trick or treated and I even had the nearby neighbors say they love hearing my rooster 😂 “Feels like they live in the country” hehe, so that’s nice to hear! We made up for last year by going to three different neighborhoods with their friends and I am exhausted today!
