Update on the squad: Ernie was welcomed on the shelf with the others. There was clearly a line between his space and the other threes space, but it’s a start. XD
Egg ate a piece of food out of my hand (a first for any of them!) and I’ve been putting all but King Louis on my shoulder to get them used to it. Eventually I might try Louis, but I don’t trust him. Poor guy still has nerve damage/circles, so I don’t want him to fall off.
But my work has payed off! Ernie flew on my shoulder, unprompted, all by himself!! Im so excited. It was wonderful. He was there for a while, and then after he left, pooped, and ate, I put him back and he just chilled there on me. It got to the point I had to make him get down cause he was there for so long and I had to check in the other birds.

Speaking of other birds, everyone but the quail got live mealworms. They had already been locked up for the night, so while it would’ve been easy to throw a few in (they weren’t asleep) I didn’t bother. Oddly enough, the pigeons wouldn’t eat the worms, both live and dried. Beigie followed me to their aviary, so she got their share. She was a really happy girl. XD
