What did you do with your flock today?

I'm feeling a little beat. My chores are absolutely doable but AJ chores continually have add ons several times everyday and I don't like that at all. I don't have the patience to be a handmaid -not so lol

Had to travel to pick up plants and shut off a water valve for a friend. Plus 2 clinic runs for AJ. The rental I care for water heater gave out. It is a 75g propane so not something I personally want to do. Coordinating with tenant/owner/plummer added on to my already full schedule and still need to head to Kilauea to drop dog poop sample for AJ (of course) and then pick up chicken feed and her groceries. My time is definitely getting manopolized. Yet, she can zoom out the door to get her toes and hair done. Ok. Complaint over- for now.
Did the bare minimum for the chooks today. The littlest littles are now freeranging with the crew and all is well.

Hope to get to work in the yard planting soon and that means hanging and playing with the chooks ♡♡♡

Sounds exhausting! I hate running lots of errands for others! Pet sitting for a year exhausted me of ever wanting to make a living doing it. It’s just a lot doing other peoples stuff constantly. You want to be mindful of their way of doing things but when it’s a lot more than you have time to do for yourself it just feels like too much! And you’re not even getting paid!

I hope you are able to get some “you” time soon!

I'm just being a baby and complaining lol. She just rubs me the wrong way so it is hard for me to keep a happy heart when doing kindnesses for her. There is a lesson in this for me I am sure. When DH is here we can take turns, these large doses are hard for me to swallow. Oh well. I'll get some good sleep and chicken therapy and be back to 100%.

Getting LOTS of time on Boo. So that is super cool.

Well but if she can go get her nails and that done I’m sure she can take care of at least a few of these chores herself. She really needs to be feeling blessed to have an amazing person like you helping her. Cause if it was me…I would only do so much and tell her, you can get your nails done you can get this poop to this place. And if she doesn’t, it’s kind of on her. That is me though. Your an amazing person to take ALL of this on. I hope you get a much needed break!

I only hope I can do better in many ways. Getting old is no picnic. Seems to sap every ounce of dignity a body has. First your vanity, then your strength, then your mind. Brutal.

Alaska, last one for this season. Where is your cruise headed? Gamma was 2.5 years, my other GC had died back in July. Got both Feb. '20. Sadly, she also had a reproductive problem, causing internal swelling. Thank you for your concern.
So, having arthritic thumb joint removed. For both hands, one at a time, for obvious reasons. Crazy thing is I must wait because the health care group's systems were shut down for 2 weeks from a ransomware attack, so now they are doing catch up with transcribing all the records and referrals. Can you imagine those piles of records?
