What did you do with your flock today?

Well...so far all the fun has been in the pre-game festivities 😁. But we're in the stadium, the game hasn't started...and I'm on my phone because it's sooo much fun! 🤣
Yep ..wildcats against Mississippi! Not expecting our guys to do great, but fingers forever crossed right? View attachment 3255789
It’s still close! Fingers crossed 😁

Waiting for everyone to be ready to leave for a football game and thought I'd share how the duckies are doing.

Clyde, Peeky and Chubby are back to hanging as a trio and poor Bonnie was definitely the odd duck out. So I put the mountain man's pair of bibbed ducks in and sure enough...Bonnie made a beeline for them.View attachment 3255495
I'm still going to keep Bonnie and bet that by spring they'll have made friends. If not, I know just who to give her to.
Poor little Bonnie!

I brought Schultz out to stretch his legs in the garden too. No change with him. He's doing ok but not quite normal yet. He didn't care two figs about garden time...but he did find the dogs fascinating...lol. That's all he wanted to do, hang out on the porch and wander from dog to dog and stare at them. Your going to have to give me a tutorial on how to make those flowers, I know they won't look as good in my run but i still want to know how 😁. You have that golden touch.

Yeah, Schultz's tail is to the side. My boy did that when down too. Must be a chicken signal that he is not feeling well or is not a threat. Funny how he is checking on the pups. Silly ♡

Honey got some more scrambled eggs tonight with crushed egg shells and vitamins and she devoured it. 4 eggs! So she may not be eating chicken feed yet but at least she’s eating something! ❤️ She loves to snuggle, I wish I cud have a house chicken. She’s the sweetest. Couple more days and she’s gonna upgrade to the outside kennel with more space and some babies to hang out with.

1st, we married the same man 😕 cept mine was that way in the marriage lol. Don't miss him one bit. He never did engage with his kids, pretty much act like we never happened which use to hurt but the pain drove me for years (and years). Now, life is way different for me and I wake everyday grateful to my core even when grumpy lol. And I notice the more grateful I am, the more wonderful comes my way.
Close grandkids would be wonderful but I don't blame any body for not having kids right now. I'm nervous for the grandkids I have now. Good news is they got great parents.

Meanwhile.... 36 more bags to go. So 4 full days easy.View attachment 3255258
I've sewn about the same amount so far, many already gone.View attachment 3255261
And laundry for one old gal who lives in shorts and T's, plus chicken chores. That's my day today.View attachment 3255272
Yeah, that all sounds very familiar. I only stayed thought a few years. He was out of the house when my youngest was 2 weeks old. Didn’t help with any bills or anything. He was cheating before I kicked him out so he was off living with her and that did bother me because she had kids and wasn’t spending ANY time with ours. They when my youngest turned 1 he was having a baby with another girl, which because when she found out that what he was accusing us of wasn’t true, she left him and won’t let him see the girl. I was mad though cause we were still married (had to be separated for 2 years before a divorce could even happen. There is a waiver that could be signed but I didn’t have any money for a divorce either) and he wasn’t spending time with the kids he DID have.

I’m so glad you are in a better place! And obviously with a better man! Maybe one day life with bring your grandkids closer to you! Life always have a funny way of working out! ❤️❤️

I can't imagine 6 kids either...wow that must be a handful! I had 2 and had them 10 years apart. I got a late start on kids so was only going to have one, but we had the most wonderful accident and ended up with two 😍.
Best accident I've ever had!

I've read that calcium citrate has the best absorbancey for people...do you remember which was recommended for chickens?

I bet your honey smiles a lot too then 😃.
They are a handful but I love them! Even when they are crazy 😜. My 3rd one was actually an accident too. I was on birth control, I wasn’t wanting another with my first “husband”. But I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. Also my 5th was an accident. My 4th was only like 3 months old when I got pregnant with my 5th. I was having morning sickness but thought maybe flu or something but I was getting sick first thing in the morning and feeling great the rest of the day. I was 14 weeks pregnant before I took a test and went to the doctor to find out how far I was with ultrasound. I was so nervous that I was. And now she is a mouthy, take nothing from no one 5 yr old that somehow has the school fooled! 🤣 🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣

Your ducks are just so cute!!!! I love the flowers around the run! I don’t know why but I feel like my ducks need dainty stuff like that! I want flowers all around their run. My chickens got herbs but rabbits ate them! So in the spring I’m hoping they come back on and I will put chicken wire around them.

Schultz is just beautiful. I hope he has a full recovery!

That is such good news!!! I’m happy to see this! I would have hated to see you suffer any more losses!

Ok wait! I missed something….she made the flowers! @ChicksnMore i wanna know how you made them too! 😁😁😁

So for about a month I have been waiting for an auction to close. Yesterday it finally did! I won a few items but I was so happy about this one! I have had the bid on it for $1 this whole time and not one person bid against me! It was like it was meant to happen. I had come across it just a few days after loosing the ducks, the fact that I won it just tells me it was meant to be! 😁

Oh.my gosh good morning 😂 you people are funny today! Must be the moon 🌛😉

Yes, @Gammas Bearded Babies I crush up a regular 600 mil people calcium pill and sprinkle 1/2 on a favorite food 2 x in a day. Some people get their chooks to swallow a whole 500 MG pill. I'm not there yet. Not sure which byc member it was who beautifull explained the difference in calcium, absorbency, it's benefits and the hens need. Super cool. Anywho to sum it up kinda- oyster is slow, people calcium is quicker and she will expell the excess safely. Do you think you could get some one to set you up with a little more than lukewarm tub of Epsom salt and water so you could give her a 20 minute soak? Give her a gentle under belly massage? Also, have you seen her poop? Keep an eye out for that. Sometimes egg blockage will block their poop and make them sick.

@FBMcrazy8 I like to give my DH credit where credit is due ♡. It seems to make him like me more. But I will keep an eye out for a big bubble head just in case 😂😂😂
Yeah I think she's pre-broody cuz she for first time ever pecked me when I went to pick her up! But then she was fine once in my lap. Yeah poop looks normal for all of em and I've double checked em for mites and stuff again.
I tend to worry easily...and she is my fav in every way so it's probably me too!
But I will definitely remember the calcium!
