Good morning gang! I had such a busy day yesterday, when I got home and unpacked I was tickled to read through 2-3 pages. You guys are animals!!
So, I know I will miss some stuff as usual...
@kurby22 I am so sorry to hear about your sister. Oh my gosh, that is terrible such a big painful loss. No words seem right other than I am truly sorry ♡♡♡♡

@FrankieDoodle I love the idea of using berries to stain Egg ♡! I use a pink tint myself, keeps people from squinting in the sun lol. What else ya gunna do with white?! Also, looking forward to seeing first egg comparison. I was trying to gage it in the bowl next to another and could not appreciate how small it is.

Also, @ ChicksnMore as always just love your setups. Such lucky birds.

What all are you using the bags for? If you ever have free time to kill, I'd love a bag tutorial . We always bring our own shopping bags and those sure look like they'd make great ones. They'd be great for taking veggies to the neighbors too...with an endless supply of bags, I could just drop it off and go.

I love pigeons but I don't know. I gave away our last four early this spring. I have some dove rescues I hand raised. The neighbors tend to bring me critters they find that they think need help (mostly baby birds) and I have three doves that I couldn't bring myself to release...they were little bald pinkie sized babies when I started with them and they grew up too tame even though I tried not to handle them much. So I decided to keep the doves and re-home the pigeons. I'm running out of space...lol.

Back in our college days my hubby brought home a little bald headed baby dove he found on campus that I raised and named Luna...so these all got Luna names in memory of that sweetheart. Lunatwo was brought to me a few summers ago. Lunatic and Lunatoc are from this summer and have just weaned enough to move outside so they're looking a little rough still. But they're eating good now and should be looking smooth and sleek in another week or two.
These three just love people and follow me around when they can. Think if I released them, they'd be landing on strangers heads. They're in small cage til we get back from our trip. Then they'll get moved into a bigger walkin.

I feel you on the lack of space, lol.
Your doves are so cute! I love their names and the reason behind them. The natural perch you have in there is a great idea! I’d love to see more pics of them when they get the rest of their feathers in. <3

I hope you can find something to help Molly! I wish I had something to help you! Egg is still pretty! It I have to say the yellow in his head looks awesome. Too bad he is molting out of it!

So, as my egg turns...
My DH has done a great job maintaining what I had set up but the cracks are starting to show lol. I'm starting to not enjoy being up here thinking I need to be down there doing what needs to be done.
I have yet ANOTHER broody. Thought it was Manono but it is Heilani. I have about another week for the incubator eggs to hatch and was thinking I would just put a few chicks under her but it just dawned on me I need to make her a special broody coop...
Vampires hung in the roo coop when I went to Lihue town and drew a crowd again. They seem so little when down the mountain in a big free chicken world.

They did not want to go back up lol. They liked the warm and the space.

DH and I almost always get a 2 choice Teri beef and Korean chicken w/salad to split, him beef, me chicken and then pullover on our way home to enjoy.
After unloading and filling feeders and working up a sweat we went for a ride b4 I had to head up.
I did way better on my downshifting around down hill turns. Still makes me nervous though.

Driving back up to the cabin was slow cuz chicks, wet, foggy and dark. Seems the few people coming from the opposite direction had their brights on and were unable to figure out lowers on their rentals. So, after unloading with a flashlight I basically caught with you guys and fell asleep to some Netflix I can't remember.
Picked up some really cute bags from 1 feed store but the others both said they did not have. I dropped off 3 finished bags each and they seemed pretty happy so hoping next time they will have.

Ok wait...u rode with the chicks on your bike back up the mountain?!
You amaze me!!! And inspire me...I kept my last feed back that had lil cute chicks all over it! Idk if I'll do anything with it...they keep messing up my stool cover so I'm on #2 in just a short time period and hate to put much work into something they are just gonna destroy lolol

I actually played basketball there is high school. About 20 years ago or something like that. And it was there. But back then I didn’t have a phone or I would probably had it then. I didn’t think much about those things then. He had passed away before I was ever there but it wasn’t my thought at 15. When I seen they had pictures from….I believe the earliest I seen was 1901. May have even been some 1890something. I seen 1913 and knew he didnt graduate then since that is when he was born, so I just went up from there to find him. They had them double stacked and his is in the top row.

No, took truck back up. .. but do ponder how I am going to pack cats and chickens in the future . I have not made the ride all the way up to the cabin on my bike yet. Just halfway or 1,500 above sea level. Scooted up and down many times but I want to feel super comfortable with the down shifting on bike first. I'm old and slow now lol.

I'd love it if you sewed a bag ♡♡♡ I bet you do great work and it is so awesome to give these pretty bags a second life!

So hotter today and they are all back to panting so I took em some frozen cantaloupe.
Lizzy has been pecking Bluey's feathers...not pecking them out but literally looks like she is combing his hair with her beak and he holds his head and just let's her! They are too cute!
I'm guessing that's a pre-mating thing or just an I luv u or even a doofus comb ya hair!
Anyways they are sweet!
I hate to break it to her but if Joey doesn't go to his new home before she lays eggs she's his girlee.....wonder how that's gonna go over!
Wonder when the lady's gonna be rid of her boys so she can get him!?
Put some oyster shells out and thr carazy d'uccles are literally picking it out piece by piece and dropping it all.over the top of brooder...I swear they are doing it just to hear it hit the brooder. D'uccles are hilariously insane!!! Gabby is the only sane one!
