Yesterday was an amazing day outside and I could spend a lot of time out there due to trying to get things done inside the house. We went from it being a high of 35 during the day to 60. Today is supposed to be closer to 70. Also today is my oldest daughters last football game this year. The coaches are talking of doing the cheer tryouts in the spring…which will be great! Cause then I will have a better heads up and maybe get her into basketball cheer next year.

My little man decided to help me today with a few chicken chores. He is so sweet. He walks in the coop and in his cute little 2 yr old voice (so it’s choppy) says “morning chickens” and “good chickens” and when we were leaving he says “bye chickens, love you”

Aren't the lil ones just precious with our babies! I got my 1 yr old grandson today and he looks at th 4 lil cochin babies 1 day old and just smiled! So sweet!!!

Oh for sure!!!! When the 18 of them were little he would pull up a bucket and just watch them play in the brooder. Then when we got the 6 French Black Marans he would do the same thing, he didn’t know what to do when the FBM were no longer alive. But he loved to just watch. He would set there all day if I would let him. Now that the 18 are bigger he still loves to watch them. He laughs whenever they try to fly. When your grandson gets bigger he is going to be so much help!

Beautiful light warm rain this morning with a little bit of coolness in the air from the coldfront.
12 out of 16 chicks so far. Better go clean the brooder. Chooks are terrific ♡ time for coffee.
