Thank you! I’m wondering if the other girls, even the ones of the same kind, will start laying this year. These 2 were getting obvious aside from letting the cockerel do his thing. Their combs got so big they were flopping over where as their “sisters” (same breed) don’t have the same comb. They are still small.Whoohoo! GO GIRLS!!!
.... and wants goats and horses and more chickens and ducks.... and was swooning over people babies a few posts back too![]()

Oh I love it! I get the distracted thing too! I pick up one thing and walk to another room and start something else because I seen something that told me “oh that needs done too” and then I remember I started something else. And it just goes on and on. I haven’t ever been a very good multitasker (I know, says the lady with 6 kids, 18 chickens and now 4 ducks, a Rottweiler that is about to have puppies). Gosh, writing that out sounds so much more than in my head. But I work way better under pressure. Like being busy at work or if I have to meet a deadline.
Oh wow! I didn't know they could be bantam too! How cool! He’s a bantam Brahma! He’s a weird little bird but he’s sure a looker!!

After my leghorn laid her egg and she was done with the nest box (seriously like 15 min) she went to the front of their door and started throwing some of the bedding on her back. I seen it on another post a while back of a chicken doing this. She was still doing the egg song but it was just a little different. Like slower.
Lmao.... and wants goats and horses and more chickens and ducks.... and was swooning over people babies a few posts back too
