What did you do with your flock today?

🤣 :gig :lau Oh I love it! I get the distracted thing too! I pick up one thing and walk to another room and start something else because I seen something that told me “oh that needs done too” and then I remember I started something else. And it just goes on and on. I haven’t ever been a very good multitasker (I know, says the lady with 6 kids, 18 chickens and now 4 ducks, a Rottweiler that is about to have puppies). Gosh, writing that out sounds so much more than in my head. But I work way better under pressure. Like being busy at work or if I have to meet a deadline.
Here, here! I must be a member of the same club. Oh, and what is exactly a good multitasker? We all seem to be doing many things all at once. Just don't expect me to always remember to finish them today. 😂 :gig

Thank you! It’s good to hear. I’m really wanting the Nigerian dwarfs. Our fear was going to be horses trampling the goats. Until we get some better coverage I don’t see the chickens mingling with them. And as far as the ducks go….yeah….I’m not even sure about them. I would cry if they left me. I could clip their wings but I’m not even sure that would stop them from wondering.
My duck experience is limited still. Til the calls we've only had occasional freebie Drakes. But so far our calls tend to stay close. The tame trio used to like to sleep by the backdoor and now they wander the garden but return to their swimming area, nestboxs and feed to sleep. They do seem to prefer to sleep in a known comfy spot. And clipping is easy and effective with them.
@Shetland lover and i were havin conversation over in the Beautiful Bantam Cochin thread and as i typed this is really hit me (again cuz yall know how I've been going back and forth on this for a while!)

I hate how I STRUGGLE in every aspect of life yall! You'd think as a Christian I'd be different but I guess that's why we get called hypocrits...we struggle too - but recognizing it is the first step right!?!
Please pray a wonderful sweet luvin person will come along soon for my sweet Joey!!!
Aww...that is hard. We had a gorgeous huge silkie roo named Chirp once that used to terrify my oldest when she was little. I just adored him, but little kids just can't deal with a big roos attack. I'll pray your Joey gets a good home soon. ❤️

@TropicalBabies I bet your friends and neighbors feel blessed ❤️ I hope things quiet down for you soon!

@kurby22 So many pretty birds at your place! What I love most is how much they love you though❤️.

I'm still not completely unpacked but got all the kids trinkets taken care of yesterday and spent a few hours on my garden and beasties. Last night's dinner came mostly from my garden and it was a pleasure.

I got to say hi to all my favorite birdies. Schultz let me scoop him up and give him a hug, Henavier sat on me for a bit, Sir ClucksALot did his little drop winged dance for me, Clyde, Chubby and Peeky nibbled duck weed from my hands....and Oregon tried to eat my toes, nose, clothes, fingers etc🤣. Lunatic looks lonely so I'm going to try to get his indoor cage set up today. Then I can let him out to just hang out with me.

Today I get to go pick up my Gremlin puppy I left with my old friend. I'm looking forward to seeing her fluffy butt. ❤️

I spent a few hours ironing my floor with a towel trying to pull the water out of it 🤣😭. So now I can add ironing laminate floors to my list of things I never thought I'd do! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm so glad we don't have carpet at least!

I had to cover all my glass with wire, because this is the second broken window in a week, luckily it was double paned.

I only hope I can do better in many ways. Getting old is no picnic. Seems to sap every ounce of dignity a body has. First your vanity, then your strength, then your mind. Brutal.
By the grace of God go I.... ♡
It’s not. But helping someone with everything isn’t easy to do on top of what you have. I will say it again. Your an amazing person!

Amen to that too! I might start several things but I can’t promise I will have it all complete in one day…or in a week…

I have to add to my extras of everyday tasks…making birthday cakes. I volunteered to make my nephews birthday cake months ago🤦‍♀️. But it’s for him and I’m good with that. Just it’s all ALL day task with lots of dishes and also to add to boot, my son is sick and wants nothing but cuddles. And who in the world wants to miss cuddles…NOT ME! So today cake is getting done and cuddles. That’s it. 😁🤪
