What did you do with your flock today?

Absolutely. Within two - three days. All normal by the end of two weeks. Here is the salve:
In a small glass jar,

3 Tbsp. Virgin coconut oil (liquify in warm water)

Mix in essential oils:
12 drops lavender
6 drops Frankincense
6 drops Copaiba
6 drops Tea Tree

This is roughly a 2.5 % dilution. When I treated my girl, I carefully did around her eyes, and put it most elsewhere on her red, scaly, swollen skin as much as I could, parting feathers, etc. Even getting it on most of her will have a systemic effect as her skin absorbs the essential compounds and it will be in her bloodstream. Good luck, keep us posted. So sad to see them not completely healthy.

That sounds like a really soothing concoction. I might make some up just to have on hand - and i daresay it's great for humans too. I really hope it works for FrankieDoodle 's little lady.:fl

I'm in the U.K. by the way.

🌺Happy Aloha Saturday all.
Been a bit busy here with people things- dropped another stand w/bags and then we had to deal with our fence posts- but the eve b4 last I was able to spend about 15 very enjoyable minutes feeding the littles fun, delicious mealworms.
Last eve after the evening feeding of the horses DH and I rode Boo & Bee to the Kawai'ele water bird sanctuary a few miles down the road. What a great form of meditation after a hard day's work dealing with fence posts.
In the eves many birds fly in to safely rest for the night

My photos are pretty junk but if you look (hard) you can see 3 flying kukuluae'o, 6 young nene geese and the shadowy figures of 2 ope'ape'a bats and their reflection on the water. We also got to enjoy 2 other notable waterfowl like the aukuu and the ulili. The thick silence of the Mana plains only to be broken by these wild sounding birds. Pretty awesome.
A couple more posts to go at the pasture. The ground termites have eaten through just about everything we have installed so far. Hoping this Kiawe wood will dull their chompers. 🤞
Also, rodeo this weekend! So gal should be coming for her cockerels!!!
That means I would have sold all 6 and raised $60 more bucks for the KHS!!! 😸
That is just absolutely beautiful! And your pictures aren’t junk, they are amazing! I hope the Kiawe wood helps with the termite issue! That is awesome that you were able to find the cockerels a home AND an added bonus that you were able to raise money for the KHS! Go you!

Are her joints hot and/or swollen? I just re-read your original post and you said It's been gradual. Sorry, I must have missed that somehow! Obviously that rules out a lot of diseases and ailments.
Not more so than everything else, but I’ll go out and compare in a little bit.

Thank you! My sister does a lot of stuff with essential oils so I had her make that for me. I got Molly all slathered up and now we wait. :fl

He kept me company everyday and I loved him.

That was us here too! And it was 6 degrees with windchill. My poor ducks pond was so frozen I couldn’t break it. They have been spending the day inside their house. The chickens have come out but are all huddled together. I even got more windbreakers today but can’t put them up yet because it’s just too windy. I don’t have any advice for you or I would give it. I’m still trying to figure it out myself. 😔
I have had the longest yet shortest week ever...I don't know if I'm coming or going!
I sat down Wednesday with my dear friend that does my hair each week cuz I can't and went to put on my seat belt! We both died laughin!!!
Finally got a moment with no mother and no grandbabies...went down to sit with my babies for few only to see the wind blowing insanely through the area I never finished wrapping! So just got that done with the last shower curtain i had. Held two baby cochins and they found their way underneath my scarf and around my neck pretty fast! I hadn't had hardly any time to bond with either 2 hatches with life happenin!
Then Coco decides he's gonna be a big boy and mount Lizzie (Bluey's girl and Joey's wants to be girl) and I never seen 2 boys come down off their porch so fast! Joey just jumped like he was skydiving down on top of Coco. I thought he was holding him there making him submit...but I'm actually not quite sure what he was doing now. Bluey goes down the stairs and then is pecking the back of Joey..meanwhile the whole time poor Coco (4 month old Cochin that is bein told by everyone in the coop even my lil d'uccles that he is a lil turd) is on the bottom smashed flat into the ground.
So tell me Joey wasn't doin the doo to the roo!?
Atleast I'm pretty sure it's safe to say Joey breaks his toenails cuz he's so dadgum rough and tootin!
And I was gonna ask yall something else but idk what it was now lo lol
