So I finally have a moment to just relax. Not for long though

. Chickens are still alive and some are deciding to come out of the coop today. I only got 3 eggs yesterday so I’m really hoping that will pick back up since they have access to outside and it isn’t nearly as cold. I do have a couple with frostbite on their combs. Live and learn I guess…just sad it had to be with these guys.
Ducks are still inside because there is a LOT of snow in their coop bedding. I have to try to get it out tomorrow so they can go back out. I just can’t let them out there with that much in their bedding.
I felt super bad about the snow getting into the coops and really thought it was my fault in the design. But in reality there was clearly nothing I could do. With 50mph winds blowing snow around, it’s going to get into every nook and cranny. It even got into my tight fitting lid metal food cans.
We went and got the new girl goat yesterday. We decided to name her Pittypat. So, we have YupYup, Yeehaw, Littlebit, and Pittypat. She is very quiet and did fantastic on the 2 hour drive home.
