Reading what you all feed your chooks is making ME hungry. Mine def arnt that lucky but they do get house fruits and veggies for sure and an afternoon or evening call with a Piñata scratch.

Well, I have my first prolapse and it is bad. Jellybeans has an external egg in her prolapse so needless to say I am beyond concerned. She is a top 5 favorite and losing her will hurt so needless to say- I have my hands full today. Wish us good luck all.

Feral hen is freed. Yippee!!
Today is wet but not awful.

Good afternoon, so sorry for Jellybean, @TropicalBabies Praying the egg will come out, and treatment will be a success. Poor girl, sounds painful.

Went and took out the divider, and reset their water bucket. They all got to go outside earlier than usual, so I hope they behave. We should hit 51 today, and no rain. Cock E is still cocky and tries to sneak attack, but I've been carrying a lawn rake in with me, and looked like a riot police with the piece of fencing in front of me after taking it out of the coop area. He kinda gave me a confused look. All of them are together again. I think they worked out their roost problem with Pikake, as she was in the big coop last night, as well as Pepper. I do think they remember their returning flock member.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about Jellybeans!! I hope you are able to help her heal up! I bet the feral hen is so much happier now

Feral hen lol. Would not leave with open doors. My hen jumped up and scared her out- then I had to quickly get my hen out 🕷🕷🕷🕷!!! Drama, dram, drama lol.
Yeah... Jellybeans ☹☹☹ She seems ok but I know she is not. I got a lot of her swelling down last eve. I wait for a guru to respond before I work on her anymore plus waiting for some meds to kick in. Was able to get the prolapse back in- egg and all (thank goodness her eggs are still small) I am SOMEHOW going to have to figure out how to get that egg out for her as she keeps naturally wanting to push it back out .... and without cutting or breaking. Keeping the wound moist. Tic toc

I've sprouted micro-greens for a couple of years for mine. They are incredibly easy to do. This is the first time I've actually seen a product specifically for sprouting for chickens though. I normally have to pick grains out of their normal food, which takes bloody ages! It's reasonably cheap at £2.95 a kg. In future, I'm going to use them as a base and add some herb seeds (They love basil, coriander and fenugreek) and other quick sprouting goodies like broccoli, kale, radish, alfalfa and anything else they might like. Sprouted seeds are incredibly nutrient dense but don't use normal seeds from seed packets for gardening. They've usually been treated with anti-fungal agents to preserve them longer.

So, how would you use broccoli or kale or even radish as micro seeds? Maybe I’m reading into it too much to understand. I normally give them this from my garden when it is up and going but the micro greens I guess has me stumped. I mean, I have seen the micro seeds on Amazon but how would I go about having my own seeds without buying it. Maybe there really isn’t but figured I would ask.

I started out trying to make neat, tidy, controlled feathers. Tried ironing the tail feathers flat so I could make each feather curl just right...then I decided that was nuts. So a wild crazy tail it is!

I know, he corrects me when I pronounce them wrong....which I do a lot haha. I was a pretty good speller but dinosaur names are on another level hahaha. Isn't it fun admitting to your parents things you did as a kid that they never knew? I find it rather amusing to see the shock on my mom's face

Yes actually it is…. There was SO much my mom didn’t know until about 3 years ago or so. I will just say, I was not nice to my sister but there was a lot of factors that didn’t help any of that situation… Her and I both laugh at it now. I owe that girl a LOT of chocolate bars though for not telling on me I mean like I need to buy a factory and give her all the chocolate that comes out of it….
