What did you do with your flock today?

You're processing 144 chickens of 12 different breeds? Or am I reading that wrong? What all breeds are you raising?
I am wondering if I had started with a total of 144 chicks and 12 chicks of 12 different breeds I would have less work to do and it would be more fun dealing with far fewer total chickens.

Today was brooder cleaning and porch cleaning time. Moved the baby peas to an outdoor brooder. A little earlier then I usually move them out but taking my kids camping soon and want to be sure they're adjusted and comfortable before we leave.
Thought my peas were done laying for the summer but got more eggs today. Talked to the fellow who gave me my boy and he's decided he just wants one boy from the babies because he doesn't want to breed siblings. ❤️ Smart and responsible fellow. So I'll let him take his pick once they're sexable. Think I'll also suggest that he takes at least one more so he can hopefully trade instead of purchase to get his unrelated girl. I might hint that I hope he doesn't pick Pinon if Pinon turns out to be a boy...but hoping Pinons a girl. 😅
Sleepy peababies and one yoko chick to encourage good eating.

Beeeebies are sure cute and fun. I'm not minding these littles at all. I think it is mostly because Hope is an incredible and relaxed mom. The flock is totally groovy with her and littles, for as mean as they were to her when she was brooding it is a total relief.
Really plowing through feed. The doves, sparrows and ferals are living large on my dime. When I take flock up and remove their food source I'm hoping everyone moves on.

I know what you mean on so many living large on the chicken feed. I still haven't tried a grandpa feeder but keep thinking I should. Maybe I need a mountain retreat to escape to occasionally instead ❤️❤️❤️

Both 😉😉😉
I know I am going to have to switch up my gravity feeders. Probably change the ports to something less sparrow friendly. They have been jumping into the ports and camping or tossing food out. So they've figured out my gig. Probably my fault for using elbows as opposed to 45.
The feral chickens... well, I will have to trap them and relocate ☹️. Well, maybe just the boys lol. Maybe they will move on when my flock leaves... who knows. All part of it. 😋

Enjoying and feeling very welcome to the amenities. Sweet bunch. My boys seemed to have 86 the cockerels this morning. 👍Good on them

I obviously did not go up last eve. Thought a morning trip and stay to be more advantageous.
K. Gotta get my wiggle.

O those ferals are right at home! Such pretty little things! Too hard to feed everything that wants fed though.
I’m gonna try very hard not to worry about the chickens and enjoy this very awesome spot for the week!
O so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
