Maybe. I don't know, but I do know humans are pretty much destroying the world we live in. Well, that's my opinion anyway. Don't like to think about it because it makes me sad.

Houdini was in the garden this morning. Even with wings clipped. Not sure how he's doing it. I may just have to remount my camera facing the chicken yard to solve this escape mystery.
Everybird got berries this afternoon, and they're starting to eat the half ripe peaches on the broken, hanging branch.
@TropicalBabies, don't stress out too much. Easier said than done. Thoughts and prayers for you as you prepare and host. So much going on right now.

I enjoyed that immensely. I've never tried diapering a chicken but I'm glad to know how if I ever find the need. I love the mask cup...it sounds so much better then everything smushed up against the feathers.

They are so pretty!
But ending up with all boys is no joke. This is why I'm not allowing any more chicks to hatch.
It's even harder to move on cockerels here. Most backyard keepers only want the ladies and there's no real appetite to process your own birds for food (pardon the pun).
The British Hen Welfare Trust runs a "Lonely Hearts Club" to try to match unwanted cockerels with new owners. Is there maybe something like that you could advertise on?

Don’t think so. I have been taking them to swap meets and just putting it out there. I basically am not just giving them away to others because I know they just want to eat them. Especially when they want 4 Roos. And then walk away when I tell them what I would want for them. Not even trying to barter with me. Which if I’m going to give them away, it will be to someone in need. I kinda figured I would have roosters so I didn’t get attached to the ones I hatched because if they did turn out to be males than how could I have them processed.

I did hatch one REALLY pretty baby. I was holding my breath on this one for a long time and it’s for sure A GIRL!! I’m so happy about this one for sure!!!

O I love her shoulder markings! Shes an unusual little beauty. I have an aloha cemani mix with shoulders something like that! The rest of hers a lot plainer then your girl though. I'll try to remember to get pictures of her today. Think you'll like her too.

Ok...got pictures. She was in no mood to sit still and I'm too impatient today to wait for her to decide she wants to. Shes dun color and no idea what you call the patterning. But I sure think she's pretty. Wish I could've caught a picture from directly behind.

This morning I brought the flock some raw slices from a big and tough Summer squash.

Then after I cut up a watermelon this afternoon I brought them some rinds. The squash had been completely eaten except for the tough outer skin...

Now that I'm down to one rooster, my flock seems pretty relaxed and happy!
