Poor pig.Speaking of which... it's time to figure out the TG menu. I am going to pardon the turkey too. Salmon and spiral ham plus some fixings. I'll do the cooking and bring the food to AJs house. May have a small crowd.
What is everyone else up to?
Your flocks are so beautiful because you are, outside and inside.Brought my DS his clean laundry and some chicken feed up the mountain. My chickens were so beautiful that I took some photos of them. Does not due justice.

My babies are all wonderful and truly beautiful, I am so grateful.View attachment 3685376Cheepie's new feathers ♡View attachment 3685377I let them out to stretch their fuzzy legs this eve.View attachment 3685378

I bought some one year, 5 for $120, he gave me a discount, as they were $30 each. I could probably sell them for $30-35, but I'll check the current market prices and see. Chick prices for the breeds I got were around $7 each, including shipping. Then again, I could have a roosting extension put in the current coop and keep them all.I only ordered online once but placing that order was one of the most exciting shopping experiences haha. How much do you sell laying pullets? Do you figure out how much feed they consume then add that to the cost? Its a very cool idea!
Love the new shiny feathers whenever they molt. Ginger is busily growing in all her new ones, so we have feather sheaths all over the place, and I find myself sweeping the floor daily.Isn't she though?!! Here she is Oct 29View attachment 3685688

Gotta love/hate a good molt
That would be a fabulous idea. Do you have one nearby, or go through the school you take your courses from?I think it could be possible but very risky without knowing exactly where that foot is placed and if there's any organ/arterial involvement. Little Hop needs an x-ray to be certain.
As it's so unusual , would a veterinary college be interested in taking a look and seeing if it can be freed?
Holy Cow!!! Or is that Holy Chicken?
