What did you do with your flock today?

It was a bit of a push, but we got the kitty condo done last eve šŸ‘

Great to get those bandits out of the house. My goodness... looked like a thief broke in and rousted through everything looking for anything.

Rode up and change chicken waters and freshened food for the flock this morning.
Traffic was stopped for these guys.View attachment 3899683Not sure how that happened, but now they are safely at my step son's house and I am some how pondering getting a pup...
Anywho, ill get them where they need to be. Back to chickens..... flock is perfect, gave us beautiful eggs and all healthy.
Poor pups. They are fortunate that you found them. The condo is so mew-tiful! I'd hire you in a heartbeat for any renovations.

A dozen assorted eggs today, sizes and colors. The girls are loving the few plums I've thrown to them. Have learned from past seasons that too much of those gives them the runs. Threw them some bolted romaine today, and a bit of birdseed. Took them the crushed eggshells yesterday, which are getting eaten by all. I gave the chicken spraying job to my grandson, which he happily accepted šŸ˜‰. What boy wouldn't love that?

Is he a wee little man?
He is! He was a wee little chick and was attacked as a day old, left for dead. I found him limp and unresponsive but breathing, with a hole in his head. I cried and placed him under my shirt for comfort as he passed. About 10 minutes later he started cheeping! The next day he was attacked again, so I put the broody and all five chicks in a safe area. I gave that wee little chick electrolytes, vitamin E, and B complex by eye dropper for a couple days until he fought me so hard that I was sure he was going to make it.

I started calling him LC, Little Chick. He was behind in development but caught up within a few weeks, and when I was taking boys to the auction I decided to keep my Little Chick, and renamed him Zacchaeus.

He's a survivor miracle chick! Good doctoring and care from you surely helped him get well. He's a šŸ’“ cutie!

Rode up first thing this morning to refill waterers with stream water again šŸ™„. Refilled gravity feeder, tossed some papaya, mango and cracked corn. Collected 12 eggs.View attachment 3901448
Dragon fruit had a few blooms for me last night. View attachment 3901449
Last 2 days have been warm. Just catching up on sleep and work today
We used to have a wall of "dragon fruit" plants, and I loved seeing the night blooming cerus and the fruit which sometimes followed. Also used to pick them along a school wall in season, this was before they became popular.

Yesterday I had a rare free day so I spent half of it crafting with eco resins, air dry clay and a bit of sketching and watercolour. The boys and girls were wandering in and out of my craft space, with Ferdy mostly chilling on my shoulder, critiquing my work and suggesting improvements (he made many, many suggestions) leaving Stan to do the heavy lifting, looking after the ladies. He didn't do his job well. We left the room to take my cherry tart out of the oven and when Ferdy and I returned, Pru was on my work table, helping herself to a pot of gold flakes. This was after leaving footprints all over my newly (and still wet) created paint pallette. I told you she only has half a brain cell! Well, guess I can look forward to cleaning up sparkly poops for a couple of days... 🤣

Eesh. What a visual. When I first read that you were busting out clays and resins and paints.., I'm like, I want photos! Now, after 1/2 braincell sparkly poop Pru messed it all up... now, I REALLY wants photos. I don't have enough imagination for all of that. Do keep us posted. šŸ˜‚šŸ’©šŸ™Š
