What did you name your chicks?

My boy names the chick since he is the initial investor in them! Here we go:
Buff (lone roo_
Oprah
Goldie
Edward
Bunny
Oreo
Cookie
Sally
Sasha
Ginger

New Chicks :
Cocoa
Nugget
Peanut
Buttercup

We have 14 EEs but so far only a few named.

Singular Joter (he is always by himself, single-ing himself out, got the name from a Hanoverian stallion)
Cinnabun (She is a red-cinnamon color, no stripes)
Smoke (a grey smoky color, no stripes)
Black Cap (looks just like a black cap chickadee)

Not all of my chicks have names yet, 'cuz I like to wait and let names happen rather than choosing them. The ones that have names are:
Lil' Roo (D'uccle)
Bill (D'uccle)
Miss Piggy (D'uccle)
Pilot (Silver Sebright)
Toes (Gold Sebright)
Lil' Chickymunk (Old English Game)

My roos name is Crinkle. Don't know how or why i came up with that. He's an Americana. I haven't started naming the chicks yet

My kids named one of my chicks after my boss. She approved it.

Now they come upstairs (where the chicks are currently lodged) and report, "Dr. M. is flapping around down there. Dr. M. is really carrying one--I think she's hungry."

I told them they have to change her name.

When I started with chicks in 2004, I named them after women of the Old Testament:
Ruth, Naomi (who turned into Boaz), Leah, Rachel, Deborah, Esther (who turned into Mordecai), Hannah, Rahab, Dinah...

Then I gave up on chickens in 2008 when the coyotes kept eating them

. Now I've moved and have 8 little peepers in the garage under a heat lamp. I haven't given them their names yet, but I will be choosing from New Testament names such as:
Mary, Martha, Joanna, Susanna, Tabitha, Salome, Pricilla...

I can only have 6 since I'm in city limits (may try to slip in a 7th). I figure there's always a chance of loosing a baby or of having an accidental roo or two, which are against city rules, so they would need to go.

Our 3 BR pullets were officially named Rose, Pearl, and Daisy just today. When they are hold enough, they will be living with a New Hampshire white named Sleepy (she came with that name and my girls say we can't change it!)
